Through monitoring work, thousands of violations by employers have been discovered, such as not building salary scales and tables, not implementing salary increase regimes, late payment, and salary arrears of employees; violating regulations on social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, etc. Through monitoring and social criticism work, Trade Unions at all levels have promptly coordinated to make recommendations and guide employers to take measures to overcome limitations in implementing legal regulations; at the same time, recommending to competent authorities to handle cases where employers have violated labor laws, causing great impacts on employees' rights.
Proactive supervision has actively contributed to the effective implementation of the work of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees. Trade unions at all levels have a better grasp of the implementation of the State's policies and laws; grassroots democracy regulations; grasped the reality of life, labor, and employment; the implementation of regimes and policies for employees, thereby promptly recommending, guiding, and urging employers to take measures to increasingly better implement the regulations of the Party and the State.
The experience of the Hanoi City Federation of Labor is that the activities of the Trade Union organization participating in monitoring and social criticism need to take advantage of and closely follow the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the attention and leadership of the Hanoi Party Committee, and the close coordination of the People's Committee and the City's departments, branches and sectors. The content of monitoring and social criticism needs to closely follow the practical situation, the issues that cause public concern among workers, associated with the functions and tasks of the Trade Union organization, the thoughts, aspirations, and legitimate rights and interests of workers.
