On November 28, the People's Committee of Bao Loc City (Lam Dong) organized a dialogue conference between the city's Party Committee and government with union officials, union members and workers in 2024. The dialogue conference was associated with the theme "Representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers". Attending the conference were more than 150 delegates representing more than 9,180 union members and workers in Bao Loc City.
Issues that union officials, union members, and workers are concerned about include: Creating conditions for accessing preferential loans for housing construction and economic development; and needing support policies for low-income workers.
Some union members and workers suggested paying more attention to digital transformation in businesses; there needs to be a long-term training strategy for the silk production and processing industry.
Many businesses are facing difficulties with fire prevention and fighting regulations that need to be resolved and adjusted to suit each specific industry and field.
More job introduction programs should be organized so that workers have more opportunities to find suitable jobs.
Along with that, many workers also complained about the shortcomings when accounting staff at 12 kindergartens and preschools in Bao Loc city are having to concurrently take on the work of 24 schools.
However, they do not enjoy the allowances. In particular, many union officials, union members and workers have requested the leaders of the Party Committee and the government of Bao Loc city to consider and direct the removal of difficulties and obstacles related to the medical examination regimes using Health Insurance.
Currently, union members and workers are not able to see a doctor using Health Insurance outside of working hours, which is a disadvantage.
At the same time, it is proposed that the leaders of Bao Loc city and Lam Dong province pay attention to and allocate funds to build social housing and low-cost housing for installment sale, creating conditions for workers to stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind.
On the other hand, functional sectors need to further strengthen the propaganda and dissemination of laws to union members and workers at enterprises...
At the conference, representatives of relevant agencies and units in Bao Loc city received and answered questions and legitimate aspirations of union officials, union members and workers.
Bao Loc city leaders have assigned functional departments to review and inspect issues and recommendations raised by union members and workers; at the same time, remove difficulties and obstacles to ensure legitimate rights and interests.
