Most recently, the Standing Committee of the Long Bien District Labor Federation and the Standing Committee of the Viet Hung Ward Party Committee signed a Regulation on coordination of activities for the period 2024 - 2028. With this Regulation, the two sides will strengthen coordination in implementing 5 contents, including: Leadership and direction of the activities of the Ward Agency Trade Union; promoting propaganda work; organizing activities to care for union members and workers; paying attention to developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions and mobilizing the establishment of grassroots trade unions; coordinating the collection of union funds according to Decree 191/2013/ND-CP of the Government.
In particular, the two sides will coordinate to direct and guide the ward's trade union to perform its functions and tasks well; pay attention to reviewing, planning, training, and introducing grassroots trade union cadres; create the most favorable conditions for trade union activities; ensure that the planning of union cadres for ward agencies is in accordance with regulations. A notable content is that the two sides will strengthen the development of union members; establish grassroots trade unions in enterprises and non-public service units with 10 or more employees. Gather and mobilize workers in the informal labor sector residing and renting accommodation in the ward to establish trade unions focusing on occupations such as security forces, construction workers; chefs and food service staff; hairdressers, motorbike repairmen; domestic helpers, traditional motorbike taxi drivers, technology motorbike taxi drivers, etc.
The implementation target of the content is to strive to mobilize the establishment of at least 2 grassroots trade unions each year and develop at least 50 union members; strive to establish at least 1 trade union by 2028 and develop at least 50 to 100 workers in the informal labor sector into the Vietnam Trade Union organization. Also according to the Coordination Regulation, the two agencies will promote the collection of trade union fees according to Decree 191/2013/ND-CP of the Government at enterprises and non-state public service units, with the target of 100% of enterprises and non-public public service units being propagated Decree 191/2013/ND-CP of the Government on the implementation of trade union fee deduction. Strive to mobilize trade union fees each year from at least 2-5 enterprises and non-state public service units that do not have trade union organizations with the collected amount of at least 50 million VND or more...
The signing of the Coordination Regulations between the District Labor Federation and the Party Committees of 14 wards in general aims to take better care not only of union members and workers of the Trade Union of each ward, but also of union members and workers living in the wards.
