Initiatives that benefit businesses
At Lam Son Sugarcane Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dong, Head of Production at Sugar Factory No. 2, is known as a dedicated person, constantly searching for creativity, with many initiatives to benefit businesses and reduce labor.
One of Mr. Dong's typical initiatives is "Diseign a low- Temperature heating system of type 2, type 3 (V2, V3) for sugar cookers". Mr. Dong said that this initiative comes from actual production at Road No. 2 Factory - where all stages use saturated steam. Meanwhile, the criterion for evaluating the efficiency of factory operation is the rate of air consumption/ton of sugarcane.
The efficient use of heat energy and renewable energy sources is always a top priority in sugar processing, not only bringing economic efficiency but also reducing emissions, limiting environmental impact, savingossil fuel (mills) used for burning power generation furnaces.
From practical operation, taking advantage of the heat source from the second steam has helped the B and C sugar cooking process to be highly efficient, while reducing the rate of steam consumption/ton of sugarcane.
According to Mr. Dong, after many steps of completion, the equipment system when installed and put into operation at Road No. 2 has proven to be of clear effectiveness. The evaporation stage meets technological requirements; the heating system operates stably; parameters such as air temperature are all met according to calculations, meeting good production requirements.
Can be widely applied to sugarcane factories
According to engineer Nguyen Thanh Dong, the initiative has many advantages such as reducing production costs, lowering product prices, increasing profits for the company; improving the ability to generate co-generated electricity from biomass fuel, clean energy; and can be widely applied to domestic and international sugarcane factories.
The entire system is designed automatically, without the need for labor. The initiative helps Lam Son Duong Giam Joint Stock Company save nearly 1.9 billion VND per forced crop. With practical values, both bringing economic benefits and reducing emissions, the initiative " Design a second, third, third (V2, V3) low- Temperature heating system for cooking pots" has been granted a Creative Labor Certificate and awarded the Nguyen Duc Canh Award.
Recently, at the 2025 Creative Labor Festival celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, the initiative of engineer Nguyen Thanh Dong was chosen by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor to participate in the exhibition and attracted the attention of many attendees.
