On September 9, Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) said that the unit had a working session with the Tra Tan Commune Party Committee on trade union activities and the situation of workers and laborers in industrial clusters in the commune.
Tra Tan commune was formed from the merger of 3 communes of Tra Tan, Dong Ha, Tan Ha. Currently, there are 4 industrial clusters in the commune.
Of which, Dong Ha Industrial Cluster has an area of 38.4 hectares; Nam Ha Industrial Cluster has an area of 70.42 hectares; Nam Ha 2 Industrial Cluster has an area of 74 hectares and Tan Ha 3 Industrial Cluster has an area of 13.6 hectares.
Industrial clusters have now attracted investment projects and created stable jobs for thousands of local workers.

According to Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor, through screening in Tra Tan commune, there are 5 grassroots unions with 2,842 union members.
However, according to regulations, communes and wards with 1,500 union members and 10 grassroots unions and grassroots unions are only allowed to establish commune unions. Therefore, Tra Tan commune has a shortage of grassroots unions despite the surplus number of union members.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor said that according to the Project, the Tra Tan - Hoai Duc - Nam Thanh Inter-commune Trade Union Cluster will be established to ensure the sufficient number of grassroots trade unions in the cluster.
"Currently, the number of union members, workers and investment projects in industrial clusters is increasing continuously. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a union cluster early to manage, direct union activities and develop union members, establish grassroots unions and grassroots unions in the commune" - Mr. Hoang emphasized.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tri - Secretary of the Tra Tan Commune Party Committee said that the locality also wants to have a trade union organization to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
Therefore, we hope that the Provincial Federation of Labor will pay attention and guide the establishment procedures. The locality highly agreed on the establishment of a commune union cluster and needed to establish it immediately.
At the meeting, there were also opinions that the establishment of the Tra Tan - Hoai Duc - Nam Thanh inter-commune union cluster in Nam Thanh commune is located 60km away from Tra Tan commune, so management will face many difficulties.
Therefore, Nam Thanh commune should be merged into the Duc Linh commune union for easier management. The Provincial Federation of Labor has accepted the opinions and reviewed them.
The leaders of the Binh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor requested the locality to immediately start developing a plan, roadmap and personnel work. The unit will support and organize training and fostering trade union skills so that the Commune Trade Union Chairman can work effectively.
