Towards the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), trade union levels and professional departments in Vietnam National Shipping Lines simultaneously organized many activities to express gratitude, offer incense, commemorate, return to the source, and visit people with meritorious services and policy families.
At Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery (Tuyen Quang province), the working delegation of Vietnam National Shipping Lines offered incense and commemorated the heroic martyrs who sacrificed themselves to protect the Fatherland's borders. Before more than 2,000 martyrs' graves, each official and union member cherished even more the sacrifices of previous generations and became more aware of their responsibilities today.
In the Southern region, Saigon Port and Quy Nhon Port have coordinated to organize a program to return to the origin in Vinh Long and Ben Tre provinces, reviewing revolutionary traditions, and learning about the heroic historical milestones of the nation.
VIMC Marine Transport Company organizes a journey to the ATK Dinh Hoa historical relic site (Thai Nguyen), the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House, Deo De, Khuon Tat stream and offers incense at the National Relic of 60 Youth Volunteer Martyrs of Company 915. Through activities to the source, union members and workers have the opportunity to learn about revolutionary history, cultivate patriotism and the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source".
The spirit of gratitude is also spread through many practical care activities for people with meritorious services and policy families.
Vietnam Maritime Agency Joint Stock Company (VOSA) organizes the journey "Following the heroic footsteps - Continuing tradition" at Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center, visiting and encouraging war invalids who have left a part of their bodies on the battlefield.
Da Nang Port organizes a series of activities to return to the source, cultural exchange, and give meaningful gifts to centers serving people with meritorious services, contributing to sharing and expressing gratitude to those who have dedicated their youth to the Fatherland.
At Quy Nhon Port, professional leaders and Trade Unions continued to visit and give gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers supported by the unit and policy families in the area.
Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company organized incense offering and flower offering at Do Luong International Martyrs' Cemetery, and at the same time visited and presented gifts of gratitude to the families of martyrs of the unit who bravely sacrificed themselves while performing their duties.
Vietnam Maritime Transport Joint Stock Company also coordinated to organize incense offering at the graves of the Company's martyrs, expressing gratitude to officials and employees who have dedicated their whole lives to the country.
Mr. Mai Le Loi - Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines - said that the gratitude activities being implemented simultaneously throughout the system once again affirms the concern of Party committees, experts and trade unions at all levels for traditional education, caring for people with meritorious services and building a corporate culture rich in humanity. Moreover, it is also a continuation of the moral principle of "When drinking water, remember the source", "Gratitude", the tradition of "Dynamism, civilization, and affection", contributing to arousing in each union member and worker of the Maritime industry national pride, striving will, creative labor spirit and responsibility to contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam National Shipping Lines as well as the country.
