Attending and speaking at the program, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements that the Trade Union levels of Vietnam National Shipping Lines and union members and employees have achieved in 2025, making important contributions to the overall production and business results of enterprises and the Corporation.
Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour emphasized that the program "Tet reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" organized simultaneously by the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines in 3 regions of North - Central - South is of extremely practical and profound significance. This is both an activity to celebrate the success of the 14th Party Congress, and to show the commitment and promise of the Trade Union organization in performing well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the rights of union members and workers; especially paying attention to workers in difficult circumstances. The program will also be a source of encouragement, creating atmosphere, belief and motivation for trade union officials and workers to unite, be determined, strive to overcome difficulties, innovate, and be ready to join Vietnam National Shipping Lines and the country to firmly step into a new era.
Speaking at the opening of the program, Mr. Mai Si Loi - Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines said that this is the 5th time the Trade Union of the Corporation has organized the Tet Reunion program for union members and workers. Previously, the Trade Union of the Corporation successfully organized the Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party 2026 program for units in the Central region on January 23 in Nghe An, and the program for units in the Southern region in Ho Chi Minh City on January 29.
With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", the Corporation's Trade Union has directed grassroots trade unions to review, grasp, and summarize the list of cases of workers in difficult circumstances and who have suffered labor accidents in 2025 for timely care. The Corporation's Trade Union organizes delegations to visit and wish Tet to typical production teams, ships docking at Vietnamese ports to make goods before Tet; support Tet for workers in some units facing difficulties... The total budget for Tet care for union members and workers is about 2 billion VND.
At the grassroots level, Tet care is also being urgently prepared by businesses. Most units have the 13th month salary, Tet bonus to transfer to employees as soon as possible. Through the program, the General Corporation Trade Union wishes to spread the message of reunion, love, and solidarity, that no one is left behind in the Maritime industry during Tet; together welcome the Binh Ngo New Year 2026 with many new victories.
On this occasion, the General Corporation Trade Union presented Tet gifts to 231 union members and workers in the Northern region; presented gifts to 8 families in difficult circumstances.
