According to PC Thai Nguyen, due to flooding, the medium voltage power grid system lost power and recorded incidents at 31 power lines. Many places were hit by landslides, fallen trees, and power poles were tilted.
For the two transformer stations (TBAs) Thinh Dan and Thai Nguyen Cement that had to have emergency power outages due to deep flooding, the management and operation unit has accessed the power grid and checked and turned off power for some routes in these two TBAs, however, many other routes have not yet been turned on electricity due to flooding.
For the low voltage grid, all areas were flooded. Substations and low-voltage power lines have been cut off to ensure the safety of the people.
About 750 distribution transformer stations were flooded and had to cut off power, causing about 328,000 customers to temporarily lose power. PC Thai Nguyen has mobilized maximum forces, made efforts to focus on inspection, restoration and restored power to customers when the rain stops and the water recedes. Updated by the end of October 9, the power has been restored to 268,000 customers, while 60,000 customers have not been restored.
In addition, all 536 families of employees were affected by floods, and most of their assets were damaged.
However, with the urgent task of restoring power to the people, employees put aside their personal needs to go to the field to participate in tasks to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and restore the power grid in the area.
Working with PC Thai Nguyen, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Group Party Committee, EVN Party Committee Deputy Secretary Nguyen Huu Tuan expressed his respect and especially praised the spirit of all PC Thai Nguyen staff, despite facing countless difficulties, 100% of the force has put aside their private work to focus on restoring the power grid after natural disasters.
EVN Party Committee Deputy Secretary Nguyen Huu Tuan also praised PC Thai Nguyen for being proactive in preparing and responding quickly to the developments of floods. In the situation of being isolated by floodwaters, reinforced forces from other units have not been able to reach to support, PC Thai Nguyen has promoted the spirit of self-reliance and self-strengthening to respond and continue to carry out the task.
EVN Party Committee Deputy Secretary Nguyen Huu Tuan suggested that in the coming days, PC Power Thai Nguyen staff need to continue to maintain their spirit of dedication to work, the highest determination, the greatest effort, focusing on quickly restoring vulnerable points on the principle of ensuring labor safety for staff.
Within the framework of the working program, the working group visited and encouraged the forces of PC Thai Nguyen Electricity and the shock teams that are supporting the problem of the power grid outside the scene.
