On the afternoon of September 5, in Sa Dec ward, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor (DOLF) held a handover ceremony of 2 Trade Union Shelters to union members with housing difficulties. The handover ceremony was attended by Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor and representatives of the Sa Dec Ward Trade Union.

The first house was handed over to Mr. Huynh Van Lac, residing in Hoa Khanh hamlet, Sa Dec ward - a member of the Sa Dec Ministry of Transport Union. The house has an area of 24 m2, with a total construction cost of 80 million VND.
The second house was handed over to Mr. Le Van Man, a security guard at Trung Vuong Primary School. The house has a total area of 40 m2, with a total construction cost of 170 million VND.
Of which, the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund, Dong Thap branch, supported each house with 60 million VND, the rest was contributed by the family.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor - emphasized: The Trade Union Shelter is one of the meaningful activities, demonstrating the role and responsibility of the Trade Union organization in caring for the lives of union members and workers. At the same time, he hoped that the new houses would help union members feel secure in their work, continue to make positive contributions to the agency, unit and locality.

The Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor also affirmed that in the coming time, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to mobilize resources, coordinate with organizations, units, and enterprises to have more shelters to be presented, helping union members overcome difficulties, build a stable and happy life.
