According to a report from the Provincial Federation of Labor (PFF), from September 8 to 12, the Provincial Federation of Labor coordinated with enterprises to organize the establishment of 3 new grassroots unions, including: Fuhua Company Limited with 131 union members, Lien Hang Shoes Company Limited with 118 union members and Dong Binh Minh Hospital Joint Stock Company with 44 union members.
Thereby, 293 more workers joined the trade union organization, contributing to raising the total number of union members in the province to more than 171,700 people.
In parallel with the work of developing union members, during the week, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor met, assigned staff and developed a plan to organize the grassroots union congress, towards the 1st Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor Congress, term 2025-2030.
During the week, the Provincial Federation of Labor handed over 6 Trade Union Shelters to union members in difficult circumstances; organized voluntary blood donations with 150 participants; presented Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to 2,606 union members and workers' children; and launched union members to participate in the National Press Award on Party building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award).
In addition, the Standing Committee has approved the policy of merging social funds into the "Vinh Long Trade Union Charity Fund" and issued many documents guiding the scoring and evaluation of grassroots trade union activities as well as emulation movements in the new period.
Next week, the Provincial Federation of Labor's Inspection Committee will supervise the implementation of the Trade Union Charter and the management and use of finance at 3 grassroots trade unions.
The Provincial Federation of Labor continues to establish a Trade Union Charity Fund, submit a list of collectives and individuals attending the National Emulation Congress and complete the commendation proposal dossier.
It is expected to hand over 6 Trade Union Shelters, organize a Conference to establish the Trade Union of Dream Vinh Long Company Limited with 500 union members and summarize trade union activities in the third quarter of 2025.
