Priority for union members and workers in difficulty
Permanent Vice President of Binh Dinh Labor Federation Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy said: The program to care for Tet At Ty, with the theme "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" will focus on the grassroots, giving priority to union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, those affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, those who have had their working hours reduced, those who have lost their jobs, those who have owed wages and bonuses; union members and workers from policy families, ethnic minorities, who have not had the opportunity to return home for Tet for many years; those who stay at their units and enterprises to work, produce and do business during Tet.
On this occasion, Trade Unions at all levels proactively participate in grasping the situation, inspecting and supervising employers in paying salaries and bonuses; promptly detecting and having solutions to ensure the rights of union members and employees in enterprises facing difficulties, unpaid salaries, unable to pay bonuses, business owners absconding or dissolving, going bankrupt...
Regarding the subjects and support levels, Ms. Thuy said that union members and employees in especially difficult circumstances such as themselves, their wives (or husbands), and children who are often sick for a long time, affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, have reduced working hours, lost their jobs, or are owed wages and bonuses; union members and employees from policy families, ethnic minorities who have not had the opportunity to return home for Tet for many years; and those who stay at their units and enterprises to work, produce, and do business during Tet will be supported with 700,000 VND/person.
According to the plan, on the occasion of Tet At Ty, the whole province of Binh Dinh has 9,200 union members supported with an amount of nearly 6.5 billion VND.
2,000 bus tickets, 40,000 shopping vouchers waiting for workers
In 2025, the Da Nang City Labor Federation will continue to organize the "Union Bus Trip" to bring union members and workers back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet. In particular, the city's Labor Federation will support 2,000 train and bus tickets and organize a free bus trip to bring union members, workers and their families back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet, while distributing 40,000 shopping vouchers, each worth 100,000 VND, to union members and workers in the city who are facing difficulties to shop at the "Union Tet Market" 2025.
Support for 20,000 union members and employees in difficult circumstances, having work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses... For union members and employees staying in Da Nang to celebrate Tet, the City Labor Federation will visit and give gifts to 1,000 workers at self-managed worker groups in dormitories, worker housing areas, and single mothers.
According to the leaders of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, activities to care for and support the material and spiritual life of union members and employees of the city are always carried out in an effective and practical spirit, ensuring the goal that all union members, workers and employees have a joyful, meaningful, warm and united Tet.
In particular, priority is given to workers in particularly difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, those affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, those whose working hours have been reduced, those who have lost their jobs, union members, employees from families with preferential policies, and those who have not had the opportunity to return home for Tet for many years or who have to stay at their units or enterprises to work, produce, or do business during Tet.
Warm Tet of Hyundai Vietnam Co., Ltd. employees
Mr. Nguyen Thai Vu - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Hyundai Vietnam Co., Ltd. (HVS) shared that to support employees to have a full, warm and joyful Lunar New Year, in addition to the Tet bonus of 3 million VND/person, the company will give an additional material gift worth 400,000 VND/gift.
In addition, the Union will implement many programs such as: giving Tet gifts to more than 3,000 Union members (worth 400,000 VND/gift), supporting more than 600 Union members outside Khanh Hoa province with transportation costs to return home for Tet (from 200,000 VND to 400,000 VND/person depending on the distance), visiting and giving gifts to workers in especially difficult circumstances (serious work accidents, serious illnesses, temporary housing...) with each gift worth 500,000 VND, coordinating with the superior Union to implement the Tet market program for workers.
