On March 6, the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) and the Long An Provincial People's Committee held a conference to review and evaluate the results of implementing regulations on working relations between the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Federation of Labor in 2024.
According to the report, in 2024, the People's Committee of Long An province and the Labor Federation of Long An province have actively and proactively coordinated to effectively and efficiently implement tasks according to the regulations on coordination. The coordination contents were implemented quite comprehensively and practically and aimed at solving urgent issues related to employment, income, and life of workers, socio-economic development, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 11th Long An Provincial Party Congress.
However, on the positive side, there are still some limitations in coordination between trade unions at all levels with some departments, branches and localities sometimes not yet synchronized. Specifically, the implementation of regimes and policies for union members, workers and civil servants, especially social insurance policies, participation in resolving labor disputes, collective work stoppages at enterprises. Exchange information between the parties on salary delays, social insurance debts, etc.

At the conference, Mr. Luu Van Khanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Long An province - said that in the coming time, the Department of Construction will coordinate with the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor to collect opinions from workers on building social housing suitable to their needs.
Mr. Nguyen Van Qui - Chairman of the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor - suggested that the Long An Provincial People's Committee pay attention to directing and coordinating with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to speed up the implementation of the Trade Union Institution project in Duc Lap commune (Duc Hoa district) to meet the housing needs of workers. At the same time, he directed localities to pay attention to and coordinate with the Trade Union in developing union members in the area.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Nguyen Minh Lam - Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - requested departments, branches and sectors to strengthen close coordination with the Trade Union in inspection, examination and supervision of the implementation of policies for employees and have solutions to limit unpaid wages, delays and evasion of social insurance payments.
Continue to coordinate with the Provincial Federation of Labor to grasp the ideological situation, aspirations of union members and workers and promptly resolve the concerns, proposals and recommendations of union members and workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
Improve the professional qualifications and skills of union members and workers; mobilize union members and workers to actively promote initiatives, improve techniques, improve labor productivity, and work efficiency, contributing to the completion of targets and tasks of agencies, units, and enterprises.
The People's Committee of Long An province and the Labor Federation of Long An province also determined that in 2025, they will actively coordinate in researching and proposing policies and laws related to the rights of union members and workers, focusing on the Law on Employment (amended), documents guiding the implementation of the Trade Union Law (amended), the Law on Social Insurance (amended), the Law on Health Insurance and other relevant legal documents. Timely grasp the situation, thoughts, and aspirations of union members and workers; the situation of labor relations, production and business situations, the implementation of policies of enterprises and have solutions to promptly resolve the concerns, proposals, and recommendations of union members and workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
