Pursuant to Circular 07/2024/TT-BNV, the formula for calculating teachers' salaries as civil servants is based on the basic salary and salary coefficient:
Salary = Basic salary x Salary coefficient.
Recently, the National Assembly passed Resolution 159/2024/QH15 on the State budget estimate for 2025 at the 8th session.
Pursuant to Article 3 of Resolution 159/2024/QH15, it is stipulated as follows:
On the implementation of wage policy, some social policies
1. No increase in public sector salaries, pensions, social insurance benefits, monthly allowances, and preferential allowances for meritorious people in 2025.
Accordingly, the National Assembly officially resolved that public sector salaries will not be increased in 2025. This means that the basic salary will remain at the current level of VND2.34 million/month.
Salary coefficient:
+ Preschool teachers: According to the provisions of Article 8 of Circular 01/2021/TT-BGDDT, preschool teachers' salaries are classified into 3 grades: 1, 2, 3 (equivalent to civil servants of type A2, A1, A0).
+ Primary school teachers: According to the provisions of Article 8 of Circular 02/2021/TT-BGDDT, the salary classification of primary school teachers is classified into 3 grades 1, 2, 3 (applying the salary coefficient of civil servants equivalent to type A2 - group A2.1; type A2 - group A2.2 and type A1).
+ Junior high school teachers: According to the provisions of Article 8 of Circular 03/2021/TT-BGDDT, junior high school teachers' salaries are classified into 3 grades 1, 2, 3 (applying the salary coefficient of civil servants equivalent to type A2 - group A2.1; type A2 - group A2.2 and type A1).
+ High school teachers: According to the provisions of Article 8 of Circular 04/2021/TT-BGDDT, high school teachers' salaries are classified into 3 grades: 1, 2, 3 (applying the salary coefficient of civil servants equivalent to type A2 - group A2.1; type A2 - group A2.2 and type A1).
Thus, the highest salary for teachers at all levels in 2025 is:
Preschool teacher salary: highest with the amount of 14,929,200 VND applied to preschool teachers grade 1 (Civil servant type A2 (group A2.2), Level 8.
Primary school teacher salary: highest with the amount of 15,865,200 VND applied to primary school teachers grade 1 (Civil servant type A2 (group A2.1), Level 8.
Salary for junior high school teachers: The highest salary is 15,865,200 VND, applied to junior high school teachers, grade I - civil servants, type A2 (group A2.1), level 8.
High school teacher salary: highest with the amount of 15,865,200 VND applied to High school teachers grade I - Civil servants type A2 (group A2.1), Level 8.
Note, the above salary is based on basic salary excluding other allowances and subsidies.
