According to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Duong province, the incident happened at HF VN Company Limited (Uyen Hung ward, Tan Uyen city) on July 20.
The company's total number of employees is 460 people, but 433 employees did not come to work in the past 2 days.
The reason the workers stopped working was because on July 17, the company issued a decision to adjust salaries and increase salaries for all employees working at the company. However, the decision to adjust the salary increase does not clearly state the amount of the salary increase, but only generally states "according to State regulations". The notice also did not have the signature of the company's leaders, nor did it have a red seal.
Therefore, the workers did not agree, did not go to the company to work and requested the company to clearly state the increased salary to the workers.
The leader of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Duong province said that through understanding the situation, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Tan Uyen City explained and guided the company to adjust and supplement salaries in accordance with Decree No. 74/2024/ ND-CP stipulates the minimum salary for employees working under labor contracts (increased from 4,680,000 VND to 4,960,000 VND).
Thereby, the company has reissued the decision to adjust salaries. Basic salary increase for all employees at the company is 280,000 VND (from 4,680,000 VND to 4,960,000 VND).
At the same time, the company coordinated with the local union at the company to notify and explain to all workers to come to work again on July 22.
Currently, the authorities are continuing to coordinate and monitor the handling of the case.
