On July 27, the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor (GFF) held a "Union Shelter" house handover ceremony for union members in difficult circumstances in Hoai Nhon Bac ward and Tam Quan ward. Attending and giving houses to union members was Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan.

This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the concern and practical care of the Trade Union organization for the lives of union members and workers, contributing to helping them stabilize their housing, work with peace of mind and stay with agencies, units and enterprises for a long time.
During this period, 2 union members were supported with 60 million VND each to build a house, Mr. Ngo Xuan Hong (born in 1991, residing in Hoai Nhon Bac ward) and Mr. Duong Minh Thanh (born in 1986, residing in Tam Quan ward). Both are sewing technical workers at An Phat Investment Joint Stock Company. The funding source is supported by the Hai Phong City Labor Federation.

Mr. Hong and Mr. Thanh's circumstances are both very difficult. They are the main breadwinner in the family, have low incomes, have no stable jobs, and have to raise 2 young children. Each person's house was built more than 20 years ago and is now dilapidated and severely damaged.
With support from the Trade Union organization, the two borrowed more from relatives to build a new, solid and spacious house, completed before the rainy and stormy season.

Interspersed with joy and emotion, Mr. Ngo Xuan Hong shared: "The old house was built a long time ago and has seriously degraded, and can be severely damaged at any time if there is a storm. With the support of the Union's part, my husband and I tried to borrow more from our parents and relatives to build a house of more than 100 square meters, a safe place to live for our family of 7.
Having a new house before the rainy season, I am very happy, no longer worried and scared like before. My family would like to sincerely thank the timely attention and support of the Trade Union organization and agencies and organizations".
At the house handover ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan sent his congratulations to the union members who received funding support for house construction and repair, and emphasized: "This is the affection and heart of the Trade Union organization and local government for union members and workers in difficult circumstances".
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor hopes that when they have a stable home, union members will continue to strive and make efforts in labor, production, and contribute to the development of enterprises. At the same time, it raises responsibility towards families and communities, actively responding to movements and activities launched by the Trade Union and mass organizations.
