Accompanying workers and laborers in difficulty
In Can Tho city, the City Labor Federation always strives tirelessly to accompany union members and workers (DV, NLD) in difficult circumstances, especially those who are unfortunate in work-related accidents and traffic accidents.
The story of Mr. Bui Van Dung (born in 1980) in Thot Not district is a typical example. More than 6 years ago, a traffic accident on the way home from work left behind serious sequelae, forcing him to live with prolonged pain. The family's economic burden weighed heavily on the wife's shoulders. Despite facing many difficulties, Mr. Dung still feels the warm sharing from the Trade Union organization.
"I was touched when I saw the Trade Union come to my house to visit. Support from the Union helps me feel more motivated, and my wife takes care of the children with me, Mr. Dung expressed.
Not only stopping at visiting and giving gifts, the Can Tho City Labor Federation also implemented many other practical activities during Workers' Month and Labor Safety and Hygiene Month in 2025. The Awarded Union Shelters, scholarships for children of disadvantaged workers... have created a warm atmosphere, spreading the spirit of solidarity and sense of responsibility in the working community.
In Dong Thap, during the Labor Safety and Health Month and Workers' Month in 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized many delegations to visit and present meaningful gifts and practical support to union members in difficult circumstances and suffering from serious illnesses.
Ms. Tran Thi Mong Kieu and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sang, union members of Thai Duong Garment bags and carrying company (Hong Ngu city), both have serious illnesses, and their lives are facing many difficulties and are costly for treatment. The support of 1 million VND from the Provincial Federation of Labor, although not large in material things, is extremely meaningful in spirit, giving them more motivation to overcome their illness.
In the same difficult situation, Ms. Huynh Thi Trang - a union member of the Trade Union of Ty Thac Company Limited (Thap Muoi District) - suffered from a serious illness and had to take a long leave. The sharing of the Provincial Federation of Labor and the joint support of more than 14 million VND from the company's union members and employees have helped Ms. Trang reduce her difficulties and gain more faith in life and the treatment process.
Spreading the spirit of mutual love
In Soc Trang, in difficult circumstances, union member Nguyen Quoc Viet, a member of the Dai Ngai Town Motorbike taxi Union (Long Phu District), was supported by the Union Shelter and timely visits from the Union at all levels when he was sick.
Thanks to the support of 50 million VND from the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor to build a house, along with the cooperation of the Long Phu District Federation of Labor, the dream of a solid and spacious home has come true, helping his family stabilize their lives. The District Labor Federation also promptly supported him with 1 million VND for medical examination costs, demonstrating comprehensive concern for the union members' lives.
Similarly, in Hau Giang province, thousands of units, employees have received timely support from trade unions. Typically, the situation of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu's family (born in 1973) in Chau Thanh district, there are 3 members of the family with heart disease, living in a dilapidated and degraded house. With a small salary of more than 7 million dong from work at a fisheries company, Ms. Thu became the main pillar, carrying all living expenses and medicine for the whole family, sometimes the spending amount exceeded the month's salary. In such difficult circumstances, the attention and support from the company and trade unions have become a great source of encouragement for her.
I am very happy to receive meaningful gifts from the Provincial Federation of Labor as well as the Zone Union in the series of activities for Workers' Month. This gift not only has material value but is also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping them feel warm and shared in life, Ms. Thu expressed.
