The election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term taking place on March 15 is an important political event, attracting the attention of voters nationwide.

At 16 electoral units in Lao Cai province, the atmosphere of preparation for the great festival of the whole people is taking place urgently and seriously.

Voters here clearly define that the ballot is not only a right but also a responsibility, a sending of faith to those who are truly worthy of representing the will and aspirations of the people.

In the official list of 105 candidates for the Lao Cai Provincial People's Council, many people are noticed because they are originally workers and farmers.

One of the workers participating in the election, Mr. Duong Truong Giang (born 1981, worker of Yen Thanh Joint Stock Company, Yen Binh commune, Lao Cai province) - said that this is a great honor, and also a heavy responsibility.

As a direct employee in the enterprise, I understand the difficulties and concerns of workers, from jobs, income to living conditions. If trusted by voters, I want to contribute to truthfully reflecting the voice of workers, proposing practical policies to improve life, helping workers feel secure and stick with the enterprise for a long time" - Mr. Giang expressed.

Sharing the same determination, Ms. Vang Thi Tuyet Mai (born 1997, farmer in Ban Xeo village, Ban Xeo commune, Lao Cai province) - believes that the participation of farmers in the election of delegates to the Provincial People's Council is an opportunity for the voices of people in the highlands to be heard more.

We are direct producers, so we understand the difficulties in agricultural development, especially in product output, capital, technology and infrastructure. If elected, I will try to fully convey the thoughts and aspirations of the people to all levels of government, contributing to building policies suitable to the reality of the highlands" - Ms. Mai said.

Meanwhile, Ms. Hoang Thi Nhung (born 1993, worker at Dang Khoa Private Enterprise, Tran Yen commune, Lao Cai province) emphasized that workers always want to have representatives who truly understand and stand up to protect their legitimate and lawful rights.

If trusted by voters, I will strive to become a bridge between workers and functional agencies, promptly reflecting difficulties and recommendations from the grassroots level. I am particularly interested in issues such as salaries, safe working conditions, insurance regimes and welfare for workers. I want to contribute to better protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, so that workers can feel secure in their work and stabilize their lives" - Ms. Nhung shared.

According to candidates who are workers and farmers, participating in the election is not only an individual honor but also a responsibility to represent the voice of a large number of workers and farmers at the grassroots level, contributing to building a government close to the people, close to the people and for the sustainable development of the locality.
