More than 150 officers and employees of the Aviation Technical Services Joint Stock Company are excited when the common living room located in the A320 fuselage is invested in and upgraded by the Trade Union, becoming a Workers' Cultural Activity Point.
Right at the launching ceremony of the Workers' Cultural Activity Point on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025), Ms. Bui Thu Ha - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union reviewed the glorious 96-year tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union organization with the process of formation, development, and important contributions of the Trade Union organization in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
The company's union chairman especially emphasized the role of accompanying, protecting the rights, caring for the material and spiritual life of workers of the union organization. One of the specific examples of this activity of the trade union is the construction of a Workers' Cultural Activity Point in accordance with the reality of the unit and importantly, meeting the requirements of workers.
At the company, in addition to the main factory area, the production workshops are closed in a 25,000m2 campus, there is also a multi-purpose building combined with a cafeteria, serving the needs of dining, meetings and general activities of staff and workers. Cultural and sports activities for workers are always maintained regularly by the company's board of directors and trade unions. However, due to the nature of the industry with strict security requirements, there are currently some facilities that do not fully meet the actual needs of workers.
In response to the legitimate request of workers to go to a place not only for meetings but also for relaxation and sharing about work and life, the company's management board agreed on the policy of investing more funds to renovate, upgrade and add some items of facilities in the A320 aircraft area (damaged) - as a common living room, organize meetings and training for staff and employees.
The Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the Aviation Technical Services Joint Stock Company has proposed that the Hanoi City Labor Federation and the Trade Union of Hanoi Industrial and Export Processing Zones (formerly) support funding for equipment for common rooms.
The Workers' Cultural Activity Point has been renovated and upgraded from the A320 aircraft body and surrounding premises, including items such as common rooms, cafetaries, meeting areas, collective activities... with a total investment of 90 million VND from the Hanoi City Labor Federation and the counterpart of enterprises.
Model that needs to be replicated
The Workers' Culture Activity Point at the Aviation Technical Services Joint Stock Company is the 8th point launched in 2025 and the 75th point in the city. The Workers' Cultural Activity Points were born, becoming places for union members and workers to live, confide and relax right at the workplace and are being welcomed by union members and workers. Because for them, this is also a place to help them share their work experience.
One of the Workers' Cultural Activity Points that are evaluated as effective is the Point at Stanley Vietnam Electricity Company Limited.
Since 2009, with the support of the Hanoi City Labor Federation and the Gia Lam District Labor Federation (formerly), the company has built a workers' cultural activity point with an investment of 6 billion VND, including: 1 multi-purpose hall with an area of 700m2, 1 worker rest room with an area of 200m2, 2 training rooms with an area of 150m2, 1 60m2 library with more than 1,400 books, 1 internet room - game room with an area of 50m2, 1 indoor sports room with an area of 150m2, 1 soccer field with an area of 2,500m2.
Talking about the Company's Workers' Cultural Activity Point, Ms. Duong Quynh Giao, a worker at the company, said that in addition to working hours, depending on her preference, she can go to the reading library or go to the zumba dance classroom, play golf indoors... For workers who like to work outdoors, they can participate in football, play tennis, fish fishing, take care of flowers...
