Applying digitization in caring for union members and workers
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Khac Diep, currently the Ho Chi Minh City Police Trade Union (CĐCATP) has 4 grassroots trade unions directly under it (Company 990, City Police Specialized Committee, Logistics Department and Political Work Department) with a total of 340 trade union members. Trade union officials and members in the CĐCATP include officials, soldiers, workers, and contract workers who do not receive state budget salaries working in public revenue-generating non-business units.

In the context of technology and digital transformation "penetrating" deeply into all areas of life, innovating operating methods to accompany trade union members and workers to successfully complete professional tasks and meet task requirements in the new situation is the goal of the City Police Trade Union in general and also the concern of Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Khac Diep personally.
I have directed the development and deployment of the "Ho Chi Minh City Police Trade Union" app to deploy to affiliated grassroots trade unions and trade union members to promote communication for the City Police Trade Union activities on digital platforms, manage records, documents and accurately update data on trade union organizations and members," Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Khac Diep said.
Thanks to the "live" database, the City Police Trade Union promotes activities towards grassroots levels and is welcomed and supported by union members. Programs such as "Trade Union Meals"; dialogue programs between Party committees, unit and business leaders with trade union members and workers... contribute to creating an atmosphere of solidarity and understanding, thereby building trust and attachment of union members and workers to trade union organizations and agencies, units, and businesses.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Khac Diep also advised the City Police Trade Union to coordinate with non-core units to effectively implement union member welfare programs such as supporting loans, improving the lives of Cep Microfinance Organization; supporting loans to create housing from the City Housing Development Fund; effectively implementing the project "Developing funding to award Nguyen Duc Canh scholarships" to commend and award Nguyen Duc Canh scholarships to children of officials and union members in the City Police who are in difficult circumstances...
Benefiting union members by billions of VND
10 years of attachment to the City Police Trade Union, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Khac Diep has many deep memories with union members and workers, in which, the memory he remembers most is the process of sharing with union member Luong Thi Thanh - a worker of the Fire and Rescue Police Department of the City Police.
Ms. Thanh suffers from lateral sclerosis lateral atrophy (ALS), and is in extremely difficult circumstances. She has a low labor contract salary and is the child of a martyr. She has 2 children, of which the eldest son is sick; her daughter has to quit her job to take care of her mother. Ms. Thanh's husband does not have a stable job and is often sick," Lieutenant Colonel Diep shared.
When visiting Ms. Thanh with CĐCATP officials, Lieutenant Colonel Diep was moved to witness her family living in a rented house of less than 20m2.
Visiting union members, witnessing their difficult circumstances, I am very sympathetic. Giving money to support Ms. Thanh from the funds contributed by union members of the City Police - although the amount is not large - but I felt the emotion of Ms. Thanh and her family. That memory both helped me feel a little warmth and joy because I contributed my efforts to care for union members with dangerous diseases, and motivated me to try harder in my efforts to care for and accompany union members," Lieutenant Colonel Diep said emotionally.

Also according to Lieutenant Colonel Diep, in the period of responding to Workers' Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026 alone, he has advised and coordinated with partners to organize a program of consulting, general medical examination and free health care for 200 officials, trade union members, workers and union members' relatives, with a total sponsorship budget of more than 1.3 billion VND...
Thanks to wholeheartedly serving union members and trade union work, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Khac Diep has achieved excellent task completion achievements for 7 consecutive years (2019-2025) and the emulation title "Grassroots Emulation Soldier", especially in 2024, he achieved the title of Emulation Soldier of the entire People's Public Security Forces.
He was also honored to be awarded the "Outstanding Trade Union Member of the People's Public Security Forces in 2021" award by the Ministry of Public Security and 3 Certificates of Merit; achieved 2 Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (2019, 2022); 1 Certificate of Merit from the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City (in 2021) and 1 Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2026.
