    The salary of a police lieutenant in 2024 is divided into 2 stages - before and after the basic salary increase.

    How to calculate the salary of a senior police officer in 2024 according to the formula:

    People's police salary coefficient x basic salary.

    Currently, the police salary coefficient is specified in Table 6 issued with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP. The salary coefficient of a senior police officer is 5.0.

    * With the basic salary before July 1, 2024, the basic salary is 1.8 million VND, then the salary of a police lieutenant is 9,000,000 VND.

    The first salary increase coefficient is 5.35, the second salary increase coefficient is 5.70.

    The salary of a public security officer with the rank of lieutenant colonel according to each salary increase is determined as follows:

    - First salary increase: 1,800,000 x 5.35 = 9,630,000 VND/month.

    - Second salary increase: 1,800,000 x 5.70 = 10,260,000 VND/month.

    * Basic salary of 2.34 million VND from July 1, 2024 onwards, police lieutenants will receive a salary of 11,700,000 VND/month.

    - First salary increase: 2,340,000 x 5.35 = 12,519,000 VND/month.

    - Second salary increase: 2,340,000 x 5.70 = 13,338,000 VND/month.

    In addition to the new salary schedule due to the increase in basic salary of 2.34 million VND, police lieutenants will still receive the current allowance regime (seniority allowance, public service allowance...).
