On October 4, information from the leader of the Management Board of the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone said that currently, enterprises in the economic zone have attracted about 60,000 workers. However, the shortage of labor, especially high-quality labor, is still a difficult problem.
Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung said that in recent years, Nghe An has achieved impressive results in attracting foreign investment capital, continuously being in the top 10 localities in the country in FDI.

Although the salary and bonus regime in Nghe An is not inferior to key areas such as Bac Ninh and Binh Duong, FDI enterprises in the province still face difficulties in recruiting workers.
According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, the province has assigned agencies and units to organize job fairs and mobilize local workers to work in enterprises in the area. At the same time, the province has issued many training and fostering policies to attract and retain high-quality human resources.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Thuong - Deputy Director of Nghe An Provincial Department of Home Affairs - said that the unit is currently drafting a Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on policies to attract and promote talent. This Resolution is based on Decision No. 899/QD-TTg dated July 31, 2023 of the Prime Minister and Decree No. 179/2024/ND-CP of the Government, expected to be submitted at the end of 2025 session.
According to Mr. Kha Van Tam - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor, there are currently a number of FDI enterprises in the province with stable jobs, high income, good welfare regimes, creating great attraction for workers.
"When workers see the outstanding benefits of job positions at local businesses, they will choose to stay instead of leave. This is the most sustainable and effective solution to attract workers" - Mr. Kha Van Tam said.
