Similarly, female worker Nguyen Thi Tam (O Mon ward, Can Tho city) took a bus from Ho Chi Minh City to her hometown from the night of August 29th to reunite with her family. After a fairly long journey, Ms. Tam spent most of her holiday time resting, eating and chatting with relatives.

Overtime worries about the school start season for children
In contrast to those who take advantage of resting, some workers still continue to work during holidays to earn extra income.
While some workers started their days off from August 29, at the company of Ms. Le Thi Chua - a worker in Tra Noc Industrial Park (Can Tho City), workers started their days off from September 1 and will make up for 2 days later.
According to Ms. Chua, the reason is that there are many year-end orders, so workers have to work overtime in production. Besides, she also takes advantage of this time to earn extra income and prepare expenses for her daughter's new school year.
The school exempts tuition fees, but I also have other expenses such as books, clothes, and insurance, so I take advantage of overtime to earn extra income. In addition, this holiday, the company rewards each person 200,000 VND, so I also have more motivation to work," the female worker confided.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Minh Thuan - a worker in Tra Noc Industrial Park (Can Tho City) - was also rewarded 200,000 VND by the company on the occasion of September 2nd.
I take advantage of working during holidays to earn extra income because my salary is multiplied. Year-end work is also plentiful, having more shifts helps me cover household expenses. The company also gives me a bonus of 200,000 VND, so I am also happy," Mr. Thuan shared.
Meanwhile, Ms. Cao My Kim - a worker at Tra Noc Industrial Park (Can Tho City) - takes advantage of receiving additional house cleaning work during the holidays to earn extra income.
According to Ms. Kim, on holidays, many families have a need to hire people to clean up, while she herself also has free time, so she works part-time. The main job is cleaning the house, cooking, washing dishes and arranging furniture, depending on the needs of each family with an income that can be up to 400,000 - 500,000 VND/day.
