The Trade Union official diligently helps policy families

Da Nang - With dedication and responsibility, a Trade Union official in Da Nang has built meaningful homes for policy families.

Besides professional duties, for many years, Mr. Tran Dinh Nam - Business Director cum Chairman of the Trade Union of Staami Vina Co., Ltd. (Da Nang) has quietly connected resources to build and repair comradeship houses. The houses built not only help wounded soldiers and martyrs have a more solid place to live, but also contribute to extending the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source" in the locality.

Sharing about his predestined relationship with charity work, Mr. Nam confided that when contacting policy families at the grassroots level, he saw that they had contributed to the country but are now old, weak, and have many diseases. Seeing the scene of houses deteriorating and constantly sick, he decided to direct support to this group to contribute a part of his strength to show gratitude to people with meritorious services.

Although society has many people in difficulty, people with meritorious services have sacrificed for the country, I want to contribute a little effort to show gratitude to them," Mr. Nam said.

Although taking a portion of family finances to support others sometimes faces concerns from relatives, but with the understanding from his wife and children and his own determination, he always tries to work overtime to earn extra income, saving to help those in difficult circumstances.

Since the beginning of 2026, Mr. Nam has built a total of 8 houses (including new construction and repair) for the poor and policy families, including 3 houses specifically for typical policy families. Typical examples include the house project in Phu Thuan commune (Da Nang city) with a total construction cost of 115 million VND, plus 10 gifts for families with meritorious services to the revolution in the locality (each gift worth 500 thousand VND). Next is the house in Duy Xuyen commune worth 130 million VND, combined with additional support for a clean water system for the family worth 15 million VND to increase the total investment to 145 million VND. In addition, he also supported the construction of houses for veterans at Kon River with an amount of 80 million VND.

It is expected that from now until the end of the year, he will continue to deploy about 2 more houses from personal savings and bonuses. Not only stopping at building houses, he also regularly maintains activities to support poor students to go to school such as donating bicycles, scholarships, health insurance, uniforms and school supplies for many years.

Quiet but practical actions from a dedicated official like Mr. Tran Dinh Nam are day and night fostering more noble human values, extending the warmth of human affection in the city on the banks of the Han River.
