On the morning of May 16, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross Society and the Hue Central Hospital Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center to organize the "voluntary Blood Donation" festival in 2025.
The program attracted nearly 400 union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers from the Trade Unions of central units located in the area, the Trade Union of the Provincial People's Committee and the Party agencies of Quang Tri province.
After one morning, the program received 300 units of blood. All of this blood will be transferred to the Hematology - Blood Transfusion Center of Hue Central Hospital for storage and use in emergency care and patient treatment.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Vice President of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor, said that voluntary blood donation is one of the regularly organized activities, not only contributing to overcoming the shortage of blood but also demonstrating the noble gesture and mutual love of the team of cadres, union members and workers in the whole province.
Through the program, Trade Unions at all levels hope to spread more widely the message "Donate blood to save people - A noble gesture" in the community, while affirming the pioneering role of union members, workers, civil servants and laborers in Quang Tri in humanitarian activities for public health.
