According to Zoc Company, the incident occurred around 9:45 pm on April 12, at the IZO chemical pump area in the factory. At this time, the driver of N.X.T of P.T.P Co., Ltd. (chemical supplier) conducted NaHS chemical pump from tank truck into chemical tank.
After that, two workers were Mr. T.V.D (under the mechanical maintenance team) and Mr. D.T.S (producer) was discovered by nearby workers. They quickly took these two people from the area, conducted first aid steps, and then moved to the nearby Van Tam clinic.
Mr. D.T.S was now awake and was transferred to Ba Ria Hospital to continue watching. And Mr. T.V.D died, was taken to Phu My City Medical Center.
Immediately after the incident was discovered, the driver locked the chemical pump from the tank truck; DCS room (center control room of the factory) immediately locked all valves (inputs, outputs) of chemical tanks; Conduct an urgent isolation of the area. After about 30 minutes, the company has conducted a re -examination of the area, the air measurement results are normal.
In addition to the two victims, there are 39 other workers (including 25 employees of the company, 13 subcontractors, 1 supplier) are taken to the hospital for a health check even though these people are not affected, without abnormal symptoms. After the monitoring process, the whole was discharged in the afternoon of the same day.
According to the plan, on April 14, the police will coordinate with the Management Board of industrial parks and relevant units to continue verifying the cause of the accident.
