Accordingly, the Food Safety Department said that it has discovered on a number of e-commerce trading floors, websites, and social networks that are trading and advertising 2 health protection food products: Phuc Linh Gold Springfall and Best Slim Collagen.
For these two products, on April 29, 2025, the Food Safety Department issued Official Letter No. 944/ATTP-PCTTR to 63 provinces/cities nationwide on monitoring and recalling the two above products for containing the banned substance Sibutramine (according to the report on the results of the sample of proactive monitoring of food safety risks of the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Control);
The Food Safety Department confirmed that in the above 2 products, the health protection food product Phuc Linh Gold Spring Sift has not been announced, the number of Receipt for registration of the declaration stated on the packaging is incorrect.
For the health protection food product BEST SLIM COLLAGEN announced by Hoa Anh Dao Medical Equipment Company Limited, which was granted a Certificate of acceptance of registration of Declaration 4844/2019/D KSP dated May 7, 2019, however, Hoa Anh Dao Medical Equipment Company Limited reported not to import the batch of BEST SLIM COLLAGEN products (Lot/production should be used before #29L367-01/2027) (Certificate No. 944/ATTP-PCTTR).
At the same time, on April 29, 2025, the Food Safety Department posted a warning about the discovery of 2 products containing the banned substance Sibutramine on the Department's website.
Proposal to remove advertising content for violating products
To ensure the rights and health of consumers, the Department of Food Safety recommends that the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy; Department of Domestic Market Management and Development; Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information coordinate in managing products violating food safety, specifically:
The Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy - Ministry of Industry and Trade removes advertising content for the above products on e-commerce trading floors; e-commerce applications; strengthens management of e-commerce trading floors, not allowing counterfeit products that have been recalled to be sold on e-commerce trading floors.
The Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism remove advertising content for the above products on websites, and at the same time request Facebook and YouTube to review, remove, and close advertisements for the above-mentioned violating products;
The Domestic Market Management and Development Department - Ministry of Industry and Trade strengthens market management; controls the circulation of the above-mentioned violating products, promptly handles the acts of trading in smuggled goods; production and trading of counterfeit goods, banned goods, goods of unknown origin according to regulations.
The results of the handling are requested to be notified to the Department of Food Safety for synthesis.

Sibutramine is on the list of banned substances used in the production and sale of health protection foods. Health experts warn that Sibutramine has many toxicities and side effects, the genetic structure of Sibutramine is similar to the drug Amphetamine, which is very dangerous.
