Factory moves to mountainous areas, thousands of workers have jobs

Minh Nguyễn |

Factories investing in Phu Tho mountainous areas are creating thousands of jobs on the spot, helping workers stabilize their income and reduce the scene of leaving their hometowns.

Reporters' records in Thuong Coc commune show that a factory with a scale of thousands of square meters with many factory items is being urgently completed. The project attracts the attention and expectations of local people when it is expected to create jobs for thousands of workers after going into operation.

Sharing with reporters, Mr. Bui Van Giang (resident of Thuong Coc commune) shared that in the past, most people in the commune lived by agricultural production or had to work in industrial parks in Hanoi, Bac Ninh and some neighboring localities. Although the job has income, they have to be far from their families, and living expenses are high, so life is still difficult.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tiep - Vice Chairman of Thuong Coc Commune People's Committee, Thien Dieu Co., Ltd.'s project is expected to employ about 1,500 local and neighboring workers. This is an important driving force to promote the commune's economic development, while creating a shift in labor structure from agriculture to industry.

Mr. Tiep said that the locality always accompanies and creates favorable conditions for businesses to implement projects, and at the same time coordinates vocational training and introduces labor sources to meet the recruitment needs when the factory goes into operation. The business's investment not only creates jobs but also contributes to increasing income, improving living standards and opening up sustainable development opportunities for mountainous people.

Not only in Thuong Coc commune, the investment wave of businesses is also creating many positive changes in Dai Dong commune. Currently, there are many businesses operating stably in the area, attracting thousands of local workers and neighboring communes. In which, the leather and sports shoes processing factory of Thien Dieu Co., Ltd., Lac Son Plastics Company and BVN Compressed Wood Company are creating jobs for more than 2,000 workers.

Mr. Do Van Minh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Dai Dong commune - informed that currently the whole commune has more than 2,200 workers working at businesses in the area. The development of factories has opened up sustainable job opportunities for local workers, especially young workers, rural workers and women. The average income of workers reaches over 8 million VND/month. According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuan - Secretary of the Party Committee of Dai Dong commune, along with creating jobs, the presence of businesses also promotes the development of infrastructure, services, trade and improves the quality of human resources. When there is stable employment, workers have access to an industrial production environment, improve their skills and income, thereby gradually rising out of poverty.
