According to Lao Dong Newspaper, on the days before the April 30 - May 1 holiday, the working atmosphere in industrial parks in Hoa Binh is still bustling. Depending on the circumstances, each worker chooses to celebrate differently: some return to their hometown, some go out, some take advantage of overtime to improve their income.
In the Da River left Bank Industrial Park - where a large number of workers are concentrated in Hoa Binh City, the lines are still operating regularly because many businesses choose to maintain production, with the voluntary participation of workers.

Choosing to stay in the city to work part-time during the holidays, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong - a worker at GGS Vietnam Co., Ltd. - shared: "I am in Hoa Binh so I do not have to return to my hometown. This year, I registered to work overtime for 2 more days during the holiday because I was paid three times my usual salary, and had support for shift meals and diligence bonuses. The younger siblings also invited me to go out, but I prioritized earning more income first, if I had the conditions, I would go later."
According to Ms. Huong, the April 30 - May 15 holidays are often very crowded, making going out tiring instead of relaxing. In addition, train and bus ticket prices have increased, and the quality of services is not guaranteed. Therefore, her family decided to organize a light party at home, both saving costs and bringing a cozy and comfortable feeling.
For many young workers, especially local people, the trend of intra-provincial tourism and nature exploration is becoming more and more popular.
Ms. Bui Thi Hanh - a worker at Sankoh Vietnam Co., Ltd. - Song Da trai Board Industrial Park - said: "I and some sisters in the production team have planned to go to Mai Chau for 2 days, then return to Tan Lac to visit relatives. We want to take a break, take photos, and change the atmosphere a little before returning to the studio."

Many workers choose to return to their hometowns to reunite with their families during the long holiday. Mr. Le Van Toan (from Thanh Hoa) working at VVV Electromechanical and Construction Assembly Joint Stock Company - Luong Son Industrial Park shared: "It's been a long time since I've returned, this precious 5-day holiday I can't miss. Booking a ticket in advance to visit my parents and take my children to release the kites is enough for peace".
For him, the holiday is not only a time to rest after stressful working days, but also an opportunity to relax and enjoy the family atmosphere, recharging energy for the following working days.
Mr. Tran Phuong Dong - Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Hoa Binh province - shared: "The Trade Union always closely coordinates with enterprises to ensure safe working conditions and meet the health requirements of workers.
At the same time, we also strive to fully implement the regimes and policies related to overtime and overtime during the holidays, in order to best protect the rights of workers".
According to Mr. Dong, during the holiday, the trade union will strengthen inspection and supervision of salary and bonus payments in accordance with regulations, while continuing to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers to protect the legitimate rights of workers and laborers.
