On April 27, the 29th session of the People's Council of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, term VII, 2021-2026 (special session) approved resolutions on adjusting the public investment plan for 2025; medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 from the provincial budget.
The total public investment capital of the provincial budget in 2025 is more than 30,620 billion VND, by April 2025, nearly 21,070 billion VND has been allocated to public investment programs; investment capital for district-level budgets; investment projects decided by the province. The remaining capital expected to continue to be allocated in 2025 is more than VND9,550 billion, of which more than VND2,993 billion has not been allocated.
After consideration, the delegates agreed to continue allocating more than VND 2,509 billion to 6 provincial-level projects for investment decisions; the rest to the district budget, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway and other arising situations when eligible.
Of the 6 projects allocated with more than VND 2,509 billion, there are 4 projects on transport infrastructure. Notably, the expressway project connecting Long Thanh airport to Ho Tram area will be allocated an additional VND995 billion (total VND1,000 billion) in 2025 (the remaining VND3,500 billion will be transferred to the 2026-2030 period).
The expressway connecting Long Thanh airport to Ho Tram has a starting point connecting to the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project (in Chau Duc district) and an ending point connecting to the Vung Tau - Binh Thuan coastal road (in Xuyen Moc district) with a total length of about 41 km; the total estimated investment capital is about VND17,000 billion; of which the cost of site clearance is about VND4,500 billion. This is a traffic route directly connecting to Long Thanh airport, the fastest and shortest transportation option to develop the Ho Tram area more effectively.
The above project has been submitted to the Government by the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province with a proposal document, and has been approved for implementation, under urgent tasks. Currently, the locality is urgently completing the dossier to adjust the planning, moving towards implementation according to regulations.
