In our country, there is no such activity
The 2025 Union Meal organized by the Union in coordination with Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd. for about 23,500 workers in all factories. At the Company's factory in Thang Long Industrial Park (Hanoi), about 10,000 workers were happy together, sharing their thoughts and feelings with the Company's leaders. Compared to the regular daily meal of 24,000 VND, the meal at the Union Meal was supported by the Company's Union with an additional 26,000 VND. The 25,000 VND fish ice cream part for the Union Meal was also paid by the Company's Union. In particular, the Union gave each worker 100,000 VND, transferred to the account.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Truong, who has worked at the Company for 7 years, said that his daily meals are already full. The amount of food at the Union Meal has been increased, so many workers have reduced their portion of rice because just the portion of food is enough. Mr. Truong also said that the food in the Union Meal is decorated more beautifully than usual, so it looks more attractive.
That is the joy of workers. Mr. Ryo Onoue - Director of Administrative and Human Resources Department could not hide his emotions when witnessing the exciting atmosphere in the dining room created by the voices and laughter of thousands of workers of the factory. Mr. Ryo Onoue shared that in his country, there is no similar program to the Union Meal. What he felt from the Union Meal organized by the Union and the Company in coordination was the happiness of workers when they were truly cared for. And, he believes that from this happiness, workers will be more attached to and contribute more to the Company.
The 2025 Trade Union Meal is an activity implemented by Trade Unions at all levels nationwide to care for the spiritual and material lives of workers, on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union and towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2. In reality, the implementation process from July to September 2025, the Union Meal has brought joy and especially the connection between workers and the Union organization and the enterprise. Here is the connection as in a family, so that each member can see their responsibility towards the common home.
From the Union Meal to the Union Year Meal
One of the highlights of the program to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026 is that the Trade Union will organize a Trade Union Meal at the grassroots Trade Union level. The Union Year's Meal may be a successful continuation of the 2025 Union Meal when this activity clearly demonstrates the concern, care and role of each side in labor relations. The value of meals at the Union Meal is at least 50,000 VND, up to 100,000 VND/meal from the Union's financial resources and from the funding of enterprises, local authorities or other socialized sources (if any, unlimited value).
In addition to the annual Tet care activities for workers of the Trade Union organization, the Trade Union New Year's Meal will be an opportunity for workers, Trade Union organizations, employers, leaders of local governments and authorities to share and confidently create an atmosphere of solidarity and understanding, thereby building trust and attachment of union members and workers to the Trade Union organization and enterprises. The Union Meal and the Union Year's Meal are clear evidence of the Union organization's solidarity and companionship with the enterprise, when the jobs and incomes of workers depend on the production and business results of the company and the development of the company is decided in part by the very important capacity and intelligence of the workers.
