Protecting workers, bringing benefits to union members
For nearly 1 year, Bau Bang Commune Trade Union has been a typical unit at the commune and ward levels with many practical activities to care for workers and laborers. Thereby, contributing to stabilizing jobs, the lives of workers and helping businesses maintain production human resources. This result is thanks to the efforts and contributions of Mr. Luu The Thuan - Chairman of Bau Bang Commune Trade Union.
Sharing about his work process, Mr. Luu The Thuan said that in 2023, he was Head of the Propaganda and Women's Affairs Department of Binh Duong Provincial Labor Federation (formerly), and advised on implementing the model "Binh Duong Trade Union learns and follows Uncle Ho's words". From 2023-2025, nearly 400 collectives and more than 1,100 individuals have been commended and rewarded at all levels.
In addition, Mr. Luu The Thuan has made many positive contributions to protecting the rights of workers. Mr. Thuan has coordinated to successfully resolve wage debts at T.L Steel Company; participated in successfully resolving labor disputes at L.F Co., Ltd. and H.C Wood Co., Ltd.; handled the case of recruiting some unaged workers and Tet bonuses for contract workers with labor supply companies at A.P Co., Ltd.
Through the above cases, the rights of about 300 workers have been ensured with a benefit level of over 1.2 billion VND and about 400 workers continue to work stably.
From the end of 2025, Mr. Luu The Thuan will take on the task of Chairman of Bau Bang Commune Trade Union. In a new role, he continues to promote studying and following Uncle Ho, proactively building action programs, connecting the government and businesses to organize many activities to care for the material and spiritual life of thousands of workers. Thereby, contributing to helping workers in difficult circumstances stabilize their lives and stick with businesses.
“For more than 20 years attached to the Trade Union organization, I have always strived to train, study and follow Uncle Ho. I myself try to organize many activities to take good care of the material and spiritual life and protect the rights of union members and workers” - Mr. Thuan shared.
The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation said that Mr. Luu The Thuan is one of the outstanding Trade Union officials who has received 10 certificates of merit, certificates of commendation and 22 certificates, recognitions, symbols... from levels and sectors related to studying and following Uncle Ho's words.
Recently, Mr. Thuan was commended by the VGCL for his outstanding achievements in "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style" in the period 2023 - 2025.
Female trade union official devoted to union members
Working at the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union, Ms. Mai Thanh Thao is an official with 27 years of seniority. No matter what position she works in, Ms. Thao always identifies studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example as a regular task, associated with daily tasks, not for formality.
At the time of the COVID-19 epidemic, when she was Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Binh Duong Industrial Parks, she called on businesses and philanthropists to support workers in difficult circumstances; directly went to the epidemic area to give essential goods to union members and workers.
Receiving gift bags and heartfelt greetings from the trade union, workers burst into tears. At that moment, I realized that the meaning of the job is not only material support, but to maintain trust and bond between the trade union and union members" - Ms. Thao confided.
Currently, Ms. Mai Thanh Thao is a Standing Committee Member, Head of Working Group No. 4 for area management of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation. During Workers' Month 2026, she regularly visits businesses and goes to factories to encourage workers to compete in labor and production.
