From the experience of collective dialogue and negotiation to bring benefits to employees at grassroots trade unions, Mr. Ngo Ngoc Vinh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Stanley Electric Vietnam Co., Ltd. shared that in the process of operation, we always clearly define the view that the Trade Union does not stand on anyone's side, but always aims for common interests for the sustainable development of the enterprise and the legitimate rights of employees. In the process of collective dialogue and negotiation, grassroots trade unions always persistently implement according to 4 core principles, including: Transparent information; based on the law; frank and constructive exchange; listening to the thoughts and aspirations of workers. Thanks to that, in the two years 2023 and 2025, the Collective Labor Agreement continued to supplement practical contents for workers' rights such as: Technical allowances from 800,000 VND to 3.5 million VND/month for nearly 200 technical personnel; annual salary adjustments based on the regional minimum wage combined with production efficiency assessment; annual bonuses up to 6 months of salary, divided into 2 phases during the year...
In the 2026 periodic dialogue, many recommendations from employees and trade unions were recorded by the Company's Board of Directors and immediately issued directives requesting functional departments to implement such as: Doubling heat protection allowances, building pedestrian shelters, installing escalators for the dining area...
Comprehensive care for workers in the new context
In the current context, when digital transformation, automation, green economy, the requirements of sustainable development and international integration are taking place strongly, the lives and psychology of workers also have many changes. Workers are not only concerned about salaries and income but also pay more attention to a safe working environment, career development opportunities, physical and mental health care, welfare for families and children and the practical companionship of trade union organizations. From that practical requirement, the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union - a unit with more than 110,000 trade union members, female workers accounting for 71% - organizes many activities to meet the needs of union members and workers in the new situation.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoan - Head of Policy, Law and Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union, the industry union has taken care of career development, improving skills and career advancement opportunities for workers. This is a form of sustainable, close and long-term care, helping workers adapt and ensure jobs and income in the face of new requirements.
In the period 2023 - 2025, 181,709 workers were trained and fostered in vocational skills; industry level organized 70 training classes at 32 enterprises with 2,450 workers participating, of which 69% were women; nearly 670 women were promoted and promoted in their jobs.
