Understand correctly, do correctly to protect yourself
At the hall of Thang Long Urban Investment and Development Joint Stock Company - Quang Binh Branch, more than 150 workers and workers participated in the training course by the provincial Labor Federation in collaboration with the Trade Union of Economic Zone, the Provincial Traffic Police Department, the Provincial Social Insurance and the Department of Home Affairs. The training contents are not dry, but are presented close, easy to understand, associated with the reality of labor life.
When he was directly listening to the provincial police officer analyze the common traffic accidents with motorbikes, worker Nguyen Tan Trung shared: Every day when I go to the company, before now, I only know how to wear a helmet and avoid running a red light. Today I learned more about keeping distance, handling sudden brake failure... That little knowledge is extremely practical".
Along with that, the representative of the provincial Social Insurance introduced the benefits that employees enjoy when participating in social insurance and health insurance - from sick leave, work-related accidents to procedures to receive hospital fees and maternity benefits.
The training courses also emphasize the awareness of protecting the health of workers themselves. The content presented by the Department of Home Affairs has helped workers understand more about occupational disease prevention and control, such as how to wear standard masks, work environment hygiene, and especially skills to respond to work-related accidents.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien, a female worker at the company, expressed: "Before, I thought safety was the job of the director or manager. Now I see that I have to have knowledge to keep myself safe".
Training is a direct and effective dialogue channel
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Dinh Thi Ngoc Lan - President of the Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor - said that Workers' Month is not only an occasion to honor workers but also an opportunity for the union to accompany and care more practically. This training course helps union members understand their rights correctly, thereby being more confident when participating in labor relations, as well as ensuring occupational safety and hygiene in production and daily life.
Ms. Lan further emphasized: This is an important dialogue channel between trade unions, experts and workers. We will continue to expand this model in industrial parks, districts and towns, where there is a large concentration of workers, and at the same time coordinate to update new legal knowledge to make the training content more practical and effective.
In addition to the class held at Thang Long Company, another class will continue to be implemented at the Bo Trach District Labor Federation in the coming time. Each class is not just a session, but a strong message about the companionship of the Trade Union organization with workers in the journey to build a safe, civilized and progressive working environment.
The Traffic Safety and Safety - Labor Hygiene Training Program of the Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor is not an individual activity during Workers' Month, but a link in the long-term strategy: connecting trade unions, enterprises and workers.
