According to the reporter's records, the workers' dormitories in Bau, Hau Duong, Nhue villages (Kim Chung commune, Dong Anh, Hanoi), most of which are old and have been old for 15-20 years, have all degraded. Therefore, the rental price is also very cheap, from 400,000 - 500,000 VND/month.

Mr. Tran Xuan Thap (born in 1954) - the owner of a boarding house in Bau village - has 11 rooms for rent, priced at only 400,000-500,000 VND/room/month. Although they really want to upgrade and repair, they do not have the funding so they cannot do it yet. On days of heavy rain and humid mud, it attacked the degraded rental room even more.
"During the lull season, workers renting a room here "struggled" when the walls became black, and household items such as chopsticks, splints, and clothes could still be marked" - Mr. Thap said.

Renting a room for 500,000 VND/month, Ms. Sung Thi Sung accepts a miserable life due to sluggishness. Ms. Sung said: "Hiring a room is cheap, so it doesn't require much. The mud season is only short-lived, so it can be endured".

Mr. Nguyen Van Chung - renting a room in Hau Duong village - said that he has been a worker in Thang Long Industrial Park for 4 years, changing 3 rooms. According to him, it is very difficult to overcome the situation of humid mud, especially for rented rooms that have been built for many years. Workers living alone like Mr. Chung have to accept "living with the flood".

Mr. Chung rents a room of about 12 square meters, the rental price is 500,000 VND/month (excluding electricity and water), without a closed toilet. What Mr. Chung is most concerned about when the humid season comes, is that his clothes cannot be dried. Thus, he had to spend an additional 50,000 - 70,000 VND for each time he went to the laundry room.
"I only dare to go to the laundry shop once a week, partly because it is expensive and not as clean as at home due to the large number of customers" - Mr. Chung said.
Although they have rented a more affordable and airy place, workers are still affected by the rice crop.
Every time it is cloudy, the most annoying thing for Ms. Le Thi Nga (renting a room on the 9th floor of CT1A apartment building, Kim Chung workers' housing area, Dong Anh district, Hanoi) is drying clothes for a long time.
"In this sagging weather, every time I dry my clothes, I have to dry them for 2.3 days" - Ms. Nga said.
When it started at the time when the air was bad, this female worker calculated and planned to buy a clothes dryer, but branded dryer machines cost a lot of money; while cheaper dryer machines, she was worried about the risk of fire.
"Recently, the press also issued a warning about the risk of fire in the clothes dryer, so I was quite worried. Although convenient, if a fire occurs, it will be very dangerous. Therefore, I hesitated to buy a dryer" - Ms. Nga shared.

Instead of buying a machine, she used a hair dryer to dry clothes. This solution is only for thin, small clothes; thick clothes are... enough.
The high humidity makes the floor always in a state of sluggishness. She did not dare to clean the house, because if she did, it would take a long time to dry.
Ms. Nga also often closes the door of her house to prevent the wind from bringing moisture into the house. I always feel the air is damp, uncomfortable, and uncomfortable. Hopefully this type of weather will end soon so that there will be days of recovery" - the female worker said.
