Nucleus of the emulation movement for initiative and creativity
TongWei Electronics Co., Ltd. is a 100% Chinese-invested enterprise, specializing in manufacturing wifi terminals, currently creating jobs for more than 2,300 workers. Attached to the enterprise from the early days of its establishment, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung is currently the production manager and Chairman of the company's Trade Union.
In this position, Ms. Nhung is even more aware of improving productivity and work quality. Every year, the trade union coordinates with the company to launch emulation movements, focusing on the movement of good labor, creative labor, promoting initiatives, technical improvements, practicing thrift, contributing to completing the production and business tasks of the enterprise.
As a result, in 2025, union members and workers contributed 100 valuable improvements, with a profit of 900 million VND. Ms. Nhung herself and the collective implemented many initiatives that brought practical efficiency. Typical examples are the initiative to merge 2 small lines into one large line, improve the sliding bar guidance system for sliding doors, helping to streamline from 30 lines to 20 lines, saving about 300 million VND in electricity and management costs. Or it is worth mentioning the initiative to change the assembly structure of the grounding wire clamp head with an automatic scale, a CCD system to check accessories to reduce the error rate by 5% each month, saving more than 150 million VND. Improving the operation of netgear product packaging, reducing from 3 adhesive strips to one line by Ms. Nhung and colleagues also helps businesses save an additional 72 million VND/year.
With the mindset "improvement is not a big deal but starts from seeing the smallest waste to change", female production manager cum Chairman of the Trade Union Nguyen Thi Nhung has led the movement "Good labor, creative labor" at TongWei Electronics Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) to constantly spread and develop to each organization, each department, and go into the awareness of each union member and worker.
Building strong grassroots trade unions
Not only is she the nucleus of the emulation movement, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung does a good job as Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union, making TongWei Trade Union one of the typical grassroots trade unions of the FDI enterprise trade union bloc. In 2025, the Company's Trade Union developed 1,300 new members, bringing the total number of members to 2,318 people. This impressive result is thanks to the results of caring for union members and employees of the Company's Trade Union.
According to Ms. Nhung, last year, the Trade Union coordinated with employers to organize 3 periodic dialogues and employee conferences, receiving and resolving 90% of petitions, focusing on welfare, working conditions and female labor regimes... From the results of the dialogues, the Trade Union participated in negotiating and signing collective labor agreements with many clauses that are more beneficial than regulations such as Tet bonus of at least one month's salary, post-training salary increase of at least 7%...
The supervision of the implementation of regimes, policies and laws as well as the content of collective labor agreements is regularly maintained by the company's Trade Union with the receipt and resolution of 38 recommendations related to improving meals, heat allowances, and adjusting labor regulations. Last year, the company did not let serious labor accidents or collective labor disputes occur.
The Company's leadership noted that trade union activities have promoted labor relations, helped businesses operate stably, improve production and business efficiency, output doubled compared to 2024 (900,000/450,000 products); ensuring average income for employees of 11,500,000 VND/person/month. In 2025, Ms. Nhung was awarded a certificate of merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for her achievements in trade union activities and the CNVCLĐ movement.
