Along with professional work, she actively participates in the trade union movement, contributing to creative labor emulation activities. Her efforts have been recognized through many awards, including the "Dynamic, Creative, Responsible Female Union Member" award.
Initiatives that bring practical benefits to the company
Ms. Thai Bao Tram has initiatives such as "Improving B777 engine dock module to replace the B787 engine" which were awarded the "Inventory Labor Certificate" by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2025.
This initiative focuses on taking advantage of and improving the engine cluster currently used for the B777 aircraft to serve the maintenance and repair of the engine of the B787 aircraft, instead of having to re-invest in the entire specialized dock system for the B787. The value of this initiative is 4.55 billion VND. The initiative has been applied effectively since May 2024 at VAECO, bringing practical economic, technical and safety benefits.
In addition, Ms. Thai Bao Tram also had an initiative to "digitize information management for maintenance services" and the initiative "creating BR1 ATR train rack" which was effectively applied, bringing many practical benefits to the company.
Talking to reporters, Ms. Thai Bao Tram shared that the motivation for her to have many initiatives comes from her desire to constantly improve her daily work according to the company's continuous improvement orientation.
When I discover areas that can be optimized in technical processes or operations, I always proactively propose solutions to improve efficiency, safety and quality. Every improvement, no matter how small, brings real value to the unit as a source of motivation for me to continue to strive" - Ms. Thai Bao Tram said.
Ms. Tram confided that she is attached to technical work because this is a meaningful field, directly related to the safety of each flight.
Many people still think that technical work is for men, but at VAECO, the company always recognizes the abilities of each individual and currently has many female colleagues who are taking on good technical positions directly participating in aircraft maintenance or at the technical rooms of maintenance centers - Ms. Thai Bao Tram said.
Exciting momentum in trade union activities
In addition to professional tasks, as Head of the Women's Union of the Maintenance Service Center (Southern region), Ms. Thai Bao Tram actively deploys and mobilizes women to participate in emulation movements, contribute to labor innovation initiatives; together with the collective, maintain many practical movement activities, create cohesion and improve the spiritual life of female union members; regularly participate in emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers", actively attend seminars and professional seminars to share experiences and replicate effective working methods.
Mr. Tran Thanh Phong - Deputy General Director of VAECO, Chairman of VAECO Trade Union - assessed that in her work, Ms. Tram is always a dedicated, upright person, working with all her heart.
As a female engineer working in the field of aircraft engineering, I always explore technical innovation initiatives, shorten processes, save time, and bring efficiency to the company - Mr. Tran Thanh Phong said.
In addition to professional work, Ms. Tram is always active and proactive in union movement activities, especially women's work in the Southern region. At VAECO, the proportion of women is less than men, so the women's activities at the company have contributed to increasingly highlighting the role of women in the company.
With her tireless efforts, in 2024, Ms. Tram was awarded the title "Knowledgeable and Creative Women in Aviation in the New Era" by the Trade Union of Vietnam Airlines Corporation. The female engineer received a certificate of merit from the Aircraft Engineering Company Limited in the years: 2020, 2021, 2023, 2024; advanced workers in the years: 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024.
Recently, she was proposed to be awarded the "Dynamic, Creative, Responsible Female Union Member" award organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
