2024 is the 4th year that Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet (born in 1984) - an employee of the Production Engineering Department of Yazaki Hai Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd. - has received the Creative Labor Certificate from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL). The initiative that helped her win this noble award is Increased achievements and reduced pipe cutting errors on JC4385 machines at CT block.
The initiative was born when Ms. Tuyet realized that the tube cutter still had many errors, and the production process still had many manual operations, leading to low productivity. From there, Ms. Tuyet and her colleagues researched and applied 4.0 technology using a barcode in combination with PLC to read and save processing information, using bright light sensors, sensors, PLC programming to control the alloy and automatic pipe timers to help reduce labor and increase accuracy in the production process.
The initiative, after being applied to all pipe cutting machines in all 3 factories, has reduced arising costs, reduced pressure on inspection of defective pipe handling, manual pipe lifting... The value of benefits is up to more than 1.9 billion VND.
Last year, Mr. Tran Van Loc (born in 1989, an employee of the Production Preparation Department) also contributed a gold initiative, earning billions of dong for the enterprise.
describing his initiative "Improving error reduction, equipment costs and improving productivity for AC automatic cutsters", Mr. Loc said that AC automatic cutsters have software designed in advance with the machine. The software is equipped with a fixed inspection mechanism. When changing the pressing conditions from one Tanshi to another, the software requires the operator to measure the width and height of the Tanshi leg. However, the software only allows data connection with one Type-A gauge, while the manufacturing process requires an additional Type-C gauge. Therefore, the operator must fake and enter the data, high error rate, and slow production progress.
Mr. Loc has researched and written intermediary software so that the device can receive signals from both measurements at the same time, replacing the Com RS232 standard connector with a cheaper but still effective USB port.
The solution helps reduce measurement time from 45 seconds to 28 seconds/time; saving more than 1.1 billion VND/year for the company, of which nearly 1 billion VND comes from replacing connecting devices. Moreover, the initiative contributes to eliminating the risk of errors in production, ensuring product quality.

According to the representative of the Trade Union of Yazaki Hai Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd., on average, each year, the enterprise has about 80 initiatives with a total value of billions of VND. In 2024 alone, the Company has 13 initiatives out of 79 initiatives of Hai Phong City's employees receiving Vietnam Labor Certificates, leading the city in the number of Creative Labor Certificates.
