Thuy Nguyen Ward Trade Union was established under Decision No. 762/QD-LDLD, dated June 30, 2025 of the City Labor Federation, assigned to monitor and manage 51 grassroots trade unions with 3,117 union members in the 4 wards of Thuy Nguyen, Hoa Binh, Bach Dang, Nam Trieu.
Through understanding, the employment of workers is basically stable with an average income of over 8 million VND/person/month. Units and enterprises with trade unions have not had serious labor accidents; there are no units that have outstanding or evaded social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance... After more than 3 months of operation, the Ward Union and grassroots trade unions have proactively played a good role in representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. 15/51 enterprises organize collective kitchens, 36/51 units support shift meals from 20,000-50,000 VND/meal. The ward union participated in successfully protecting the rights of 4 employees when they were not paid after the termination of their labor contracts (a case at Nam Viet Sports Service Joint Stock Company and 3 employees at Binh Dan Duong Kinh General Clinic with the amount of 15 million VND).
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the City Labor Federation acknowledged that from the first days of operation, the Thuy Nguyen Ward Labor Union has clearly demonstrated the spirit of "towards the grassroots, for union members and workers" through specific and practical actions, clearly reflecting the role of the trade union organization in the ward.
The leaders of the City Labor Federation also suggested that in the new term, the Thuy Nguyen Ward Labor Union continue to strongly innovate and improve activities to accompany the development of the locality, promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers in the area.
Ward trade unions continue to review enterprise establishments in the area to propagate, mobilize, develop union members, and establish grassroots trade unions in qualified places. At the same time, strongly innovate the methods of propaganda, mobilization and organization of activities to reach union members more effectively. Union officials need to take advantage of digital platforms... to collect timely opinions and information and spread the policy to each union member.
In the new term, the trade union focuses on launching emulation movements for good workers and creative workers in line with the characteristics of the ward and small and medium-sized enterprise sector; encouraging workers to propose innovation initiatives, organize employee innovation contests, link work projects with practical rewards to promote productivity and labor quality improvement...
The Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation will always support and create all favorable conditions for the Thuy Nguyen Ward Labor Union to develop strongly and comprehensively, actively contributing to the development of the locality and the city's labor movement.
With the motto of action "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", for the 2025-2030 term, Thuy Nguyen Ward Trade Union strives for 7 key targets: developing 1,000 - 1,200 new union members or more, basically completing the establishment of grassroots trade unions in enterprises with 20 or more employees. The ward union strives to complete 100% of the targets of collective labor agreements assigned by the City Labor Federation; support the construction and repair of at least 8 Trade Union Shelters, provide subsidies and gifts to 1,500 union members and workers in difficult circumstances. By the end of the term, the Ward Union has at least 10 topics of workers awarded the Creative Labor Certificate by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor...
At the congress, the City Labor Federation announced the decision to appoint the Thuy Nguyen Ward Trade Union Executive Committee for the first term of 2025-2030 consisting of 9 comrades and appointed the Standing Committee, the Ward Trade Union Inspection Committee and key positions. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tao was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Thuy Nguyen Ward Trade Union.
