Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Party Secretary, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized in his opening speech at the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress for Workers, Civil Servants, and Laborers (2025-2030).
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang affirmed that the Congress is an important political event, a great festival of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union, a gathering place to gather, commend and honor outstanding collectives and individuals, beautiful flowers in the flower garden "Good people, good deeds", representing the intelligence and aspiration to rise up of tens of millions of union members, workers, civil servants and laborers across the country.
On behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang warmly welcomed and respectfully thanked Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on behalf of the leaders of the Party and State attending the congress; leaders of departments, ministries, branches, provinces, cities and distinguished guests attending the congress.
The presence of you comrades is a very valuable source of encouragement and support, demonstrating the deep concern of the Party and State for the patriotic emulation movement among workers, civil servants, laborers and the Vietnam Trade Union organization. In particular, I would like to warmly congratulate 400 outstanding delegates, representing outstanding collectives and individuals, exemplary examples in the patriotic emulation movements of the Trade Union organization over the past 5 years, said Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, deeply grasping President Ho Chi Minh's ideology on patriotic emulation, the Party and State's guiding documents on innovation in emulation and reward, clearly recognizing its position, role and responsibility, in recent years, the Vietnam Trade Union has always attached importance to and regularly paid attention to directing and effectively organizing patriotic emulation movements among workers, civil servants and laborers.
Trade unions at all levels have organized propaganda and disseminated the Party's directives and policies, the State's policies and laws on innovation of emulation and reward work, and studied Ho Chi Minh's ideology on patriotic emulation, contributing to raising awareness among union members and workers about the position and role of emulation and reward work in the new situation.
The emulation work of trade unions has had many innovations in terms of content, form and implementation measures; closely combining emulation and reward in the relationship between "sowing and harvesting". Patriotic emulation movements among workers, civil servants and laborers continue to be developed in both breadth and depth, making emulation a real lever, a great spiritual motivation, encouraging and motivating a large number of workers, civil servants and laborers to promote their positivity, proactiveness in creativity, the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, determinedly overcoming difficulties to excellently complete assigned tasks.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang said that last year, in addition to opportunities and advantages, our country also faced many difficulties and challenges, especially the severe impact of natural disasters and epidemics. Promoting the tradition of patriotic emulation, the pioneering nature of the working class, with the spirit of "The more difficult it is, the more it must compete", the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has effectively organized patriotic emulation movements, mobilized, attracted millions of workers, civil servants, and laborers in all industries, localities, and grassroots, in all economic sectors to participate, contributing positively to the cause of industrialization and modernization for the goal of building a prosperous and happy country.
Through emulation movements, thousands of typical advanced collectives and individuals have appeared, many of whom have been rewarded with noble forms. These are all typical examples, vivid evidence of the patriotic tradition and revolutionary spirit of the heroic Vietnamese working class, shining examples for everyone to learn and follow, the most beautiful flowers in the flower garden of "good people, good deeds".
Along with organizing and launching emulation movements, Trade Unions at all levels constantly innovate the content and methods of operation, focus on the grassroots, increasingly better perform the task of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, civil servants and laborers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
The union has promoted propaganda, mobilized union members and workers to study to improve their skills and qualifications, actively participate in social activities, gratitude and repayment activities, contribute and support to share with the poor and people affected by natural disasters and floods; the activities "Union Shelter", "Tet Sum Vay", union member welfare... have been implemented more and more effectively, actively welcomed and have increasingly widespread significance.
This Emulation Congress is an opportunity for us to summarize and evaluate the results achieved, advantages and disadvantages in leadership, direction, organization of emulation movements and implementation of reward policies; draw lessons, propose directions, tasks and solutions to continue to innovate, promote emulation movements and do a good job of reward work; recognize the contributions of the emulation movement among workers, civil servants and laborers to the socio-economic development of the country; commend and honor typical advanced collectives and individuals, new factors, thereby continuing to strongly arouse and encourage the team of workers, civil servants and laborers to constantly rise up, affirming their pioneering role in the cause of national innovation, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang said that after 80 years of gaining independence, after 40 years of renovation, our country is entering a new era - the era of rising up, the era of development; imbued with the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh "Together to promote patriotic emulation, overcome any difficulties, complete all tasks well", promoting the pioneering nature, revolutionary tradition and the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnamese working class, the team of union members and workers wishing to continue to uphold the tradition of patriotic emulation, actively achieving outstanding achievements in labor production; the typical and advanced collectives and individuals who are commended will continue to promote their achievements, uphold their exemplary role in performing tasks; the emulation movements of the trade union organization will continue to be a source of gratitude, the victory of the national labor movement, constantly promote the national labor movement, constantly strive to be proactive, actively and actively develop the country, constantly and actively build and innovate with the country.
