On October 24, the Trade Union of Can Tho College of Economics and Technology held its 10th Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
During the past term, the Truong Trade Union has successfully completed the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the Truong Trade Union Congress, contributing to the successful implementation of the unit's political tasks.
The school's trade union coordinates with the government to arrange labor reasonably, promote democracy at the grassroots level; actively care for the lives of union members and workers. Regimes for civil servants and employees (VC-NLD) have been well implemented.
Propaganda activities have been innovated in many diverse forms. Thereby, contributing to raising political and ideological awareness, understanding the law, and educating about a healthy lifestyle among workers, civil servants, and laborers.
Every year, the Women's Union has launched 100% of women to register to implement the movement "Good at public work, good at home work" at all levels. Accordingly, during the term, 7 women achieved a Comprehensive Certificate of Merit, 2 women achieved a Certificate of Merit for Two Excellent Women from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The Congress has approved many key tasks and targets for the new term such as 100% of union members completing their tasks well or better; striving to develop 100% of union members who are qualified to join the union organization; striving for 100% of union officials from the Team Leader or higher to receive training on union work skills...
Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - highly appreciated and commended the spirit of solidarity, creativity and responsibility of the Trade Union of Can Tho College of Economics and Technology in the past term with many outstanding results.
Entering the new stage, the requirement for the unit's grassroots trade union is to innovate thinking and be flexible in action, to be worthy of being a trusted companion of the VC-NLD team. Accordingly, the Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation suggested that the Truong Trade Union continue to enhance its role in representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of VC-NLD, ensuring the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations.
At the same time, build a culture of standard - transparent - humane offices; form a pure and united pedagogical environment; proactively adapt flexibly, promote the role of trade unions and groups, apply technology to effectively connect union members and employees; Link the movement with professional tasks, take results as a measure, consider emulation as a driving force for innovation, etc.
The Congress elected 5 comrades to the Executive Committee of the new school's Trade Union; elected 1 official delegate and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 1st Can Tho City Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030. Comrade Chau Minh Tan was re-elected as Chairman of the Trade Union of Can Tho College of Economics and Technology, term 2025-2030.
