On the afternoon of October 24, the Saigon Ward Trade Union held the 1st Delegation Conference for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Ms. Ho Nhu Cat Tuong - Chairman of the Saigon Ward Trade Union - said that the Saigon Ward Trade Union is managing 939 grassroots trade unions (CDCS), mainly in non-state enterprises with 47,303 union members.
Since its establishment (July 1, 2025) to date, the Saigon Ward Trade Union has stepped up the development of union members, established grassroots trade unions, promptly grasped the number of enterprises qualified for contact, propaganda and mobilization to establish trade union organizations. Thereby, 6 new grassroots unions with 256 union members have been mobilized.

The conference set out a number of key tasks for the 2025 - 2030 term such as: Mobilizing the establishment of 200 grassroots trade unions in the ward; by 2030, recruiting 10,000 new union members; coordinating the training of trade union skills and professional skills for 100% of Executive Committee members, the Trade Union Inspection Committee; striving for 100% of cadres performing full-time trade union work to ensure standardization in expertise, professional skills, political theory, and trade union professional theory in accordance with job positions.
In addition, the Saigon Ward Trade Union will support 75% of the grassroots trade unions that are eligible to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements; coordinate and mobilize the organization of at least one health care activity for union members and workers in enterprises each year; coordinate with the grassroots trade unions to train and introduce outstanding union members to the Party, striving to average each grassroots trade union recommends at least 1 outstanding union member each year.
