In Binh Co ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Area Management Working Group No. 8 of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HCMC) coordinated with the Ward Union to establish a grassroots union (CDCS) of Vietnam Production and Investment Company Limited.
Attending the congress were Ms. Mai Thanh Thao - Member of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation; Mr. Le Minh Hoang - Vice President of the Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Binh Co Ward Trade Union; Mr. Do Tien Anh - Director of the company and the workers who submitted applications to join the trade union.
The working group for managing the area No. 8 said that the unit and the Binh Co Ward Trade Union have guided and supported the collective of workers at Vietnam Production and Trading Company Limited to establish a Mobilization Committee to establish a trade union. The 6-member board has promoted and mobilized workers and organized a congress to establish trade unions.
At the Congress, the Committee for Mobilizing the Establishment of Trade Unions reported on the process of mobilizing workers to join trade unions, preparations for organizing the establishment of grassroots trade unions, and announced the list of 276 workers who applied to join trade unions.
In the presence of representatives of the Area Management Working Group No. 8 - City Labor Federation, Binh Co Ward Labor Union, the Company's Board of Directors, and representatives of employees, the establishment of the Trade Union of Vietnam Production and Investment Company Limited was announced.

Ms. Mai Thanh Thao - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation gave a congratulatory speech to the congress and suggested that the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union should quickly stabilize the organization and apparatus, assign tasks to each member, and ensure the work is effectively implemented.
At the same time, build a working program, closely follow the actual situation of the unit, focus on activities to care for, protect rights and improve the material and spiritual life of union members and workers. Strengthen dialogue, closely coordinate with company leaders, build stable, harmonious, and progressive labor relations...
Ms. Mai Thanh Thao said that on the side of the City Labor Federation, it will always accompany, support, and provide professional guidance for grassroots unions to fulfill their roles, functions, and tasks well.
