In particular, focusing on some outstanding results in coordination in propaganda, management of information of union members and workers; resolving collective work stoppages related to social insurance regimes; coordinating the handling of cases of bankrupt enterprises, business owners fleeing, leading to the rights of workers being affected... Thanks to that, the rate of late payment of social insurance in Hai Phong has decreased, the number of collective work stoppages related to enterprises violating social insurance has also decreased.
The two agencies approved the content of the coordination program for the 2025-2030 period. Accordingly, the City Labor Federation and the City Social Insurance will coordinate to study, propose and recommend the development of amendments and supplements to policies on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance (SI, HI, UBTN). In which, it synthesizes opinions and recommendations of agencies, enterprises, and employees on difficulties and obstacles in implementing legal policies on social insurance.

The two units also coordinate in directing, organizing; inspecting, supervising; handling complaints and denunciations, handling petitions related to the implementation of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies; coordinating to recommend that competent authorities take measures to handle the unit's intentional violation of the social insurance law, seriously damaging the rights of employees or filing a lawsuit for violations.
Every year, the City Social Insurance and its affiliated units provide a list of employers participating in social insurance managed by their units, including information on the number of people and the amount of social insurance contributions to the trade union organization to serve management and supervision needs. The City Labor Federation directs the trade unions of communes, wards and special zones to notify the establishment of new grassroots trade unions for the city's social insurance.
