Creating a playground for workers
In recent years, the Trade Unions at all levels of Quang Tri province have continuously made efforts to organize many rich and practical activities to improve the cultural and spiritual life of union members and workers. The construction of a cultural environment at agencies, units and enterprises is carried out on the basis of selecting content suitable to the characteristics of the industry and practical conditions at the grassroots level.
At the grassroots level, many units have turned cultural and sports activities into regular activities. At the end of April 2025, Huong Hoa District Labor Federation organized an expanded Men's and Women's Volleyball Tournament for Workers, Civil Servants, and Laborers in Lao Bao Town (Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri Province). The tournament attracted the participation of 7 football teams from 5 grassroots trade unions including: Camel Vietnam Rubber Company Limited, Chaichareon Viet Thai Company Limited, Dien Xanh Engineering and Operation Joint Stock Company, Lao Bao Primary School No. 1 and Lao Bao Secondary School. The teams have contributed exciting and dramatic matches, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, honesty, nobility and the will to compete with all their might.
Previously, the Dong Ha City Labor Federation organized a volleyball tournament for male workers and civil servants; the Trieu Phong District Labor Federation organized a badminton tournament; the Dakrong District Labor Federation organized a singing festival for workers and civil servants; VTJ Toms Textile and Garment Company Limited organized a cross-court race...
Mr. Le Nhat Tien - Chairman of the Trade Union of VTJ Toms Textile Co., Ltd. - said that organizing periodic cultural and sports activities not only helps employees relax but also increases the bond between workers and businesses. The wish of the workers is that the trade union will continue to organize many playgrounds like this.
Cultural and learning movements spread strongly
In Quang Tri province, trade unions at all levels have organized many effective models such as building "honest, creative, dedicated, exemplary" cadres, civil servants and public employees; building "model agency", "family without social evils", "family without drugs", "equal family, progress, happiness" ... Thereby, the cultural life of the workplace is significantly improved, contributing to spreading a civilized lifestyle in the working community.
The Provincial Federation of Labor has directed trade unions at all levels to actively respond to the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", associated with building "Cultural standard agencies, units, and enterprises". At the same time, effectively implement the program "Promoting lifelong learning activities among workers by 2030", creating conditions for workers to improve their qualifications, skills, and understanding of the law.
A series of activities such as the Lifelong Learning Week, Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, building a legal bookcase at businesses... were organized, arousing the spirit of learning, contributing to improving the quality of human resources.
In particular, the Trade Union organization always proactively proposes to the government and employers to pay attention to investing in building cultural institutions such as soccer fields, gymnasiums, reading rooms, and equipment for sports training. This is an important foundation to help employees have space to relax and entertain after stressful working hours.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Vice President of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor - said that in the coming time, trade unions at all levels will focus on innovating the content and form of organizing activities, in line with the reality of each facility and each profession. Strengthen coordination with authorities and employers to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
