At the end of April 2026, the Trade Union of Nong Trang ward, Phu Tho province organized a professional training conference on trade union work and deployment of digital transformation applications for grassroots trade union officials in 2026.
The conference focused on improving knowledge and skills for trade union officials in fields such as inspection, supervision, women's affairs, and trade union finance. These are practical contents to improve the operational efficiency of trade union organizations in the new situation.
Along with that, the content of integrating social security accounts and online public service instructions is also being implemented synchronously.
Through this, grassroots trade union officials gradually approach and apply technology more effectively in their work, contributing to promoting digital transformation throughout the system.
At some grassroots trade unions in the province, digital transformation is also identified as a continuous task, associated with activities such as summarizing quarterly work, deploying tasks and organizing Workers' Month, Action Month on occupational safety and health.
Currently, the workforce of workers, civil servants, and laborers in the area has a young structure, increasingly high educational level, and the ability to quickly adapt to market mechanisms and science and technology. This is a favorable condition to promote digital transformation in trade union organizations.
Propaganda and education work on resolutions and directives of the Party, policies and laws of the State and trade union organizations is also being implemented in conjunction with the application of digital technology.
Many young union members have become the core force, supporting colleagues to use electronic applications such as VNeID, electronic health insurance, and digital insurance services when performing public services.
According to the Phu Tho Provincial Trade Union, the whole province currently has more than 348,000 workers; of which more than 18,800 people work in non-business units and more than 329,700 people in the production and business sector. The rate of trained workers reaches 70.7%, with an average income of about 7.1 million VND/person/month.
Faced with the requirement to innovate trade union activities in the new situation, at the 1st Congress, term 2025 - 2030, Phu Tho Provincial Trade Union set a target of more than 90% of workers using online public services.
From specific activities at the grassroots level, it shows that digital transformation is no longer a slogan but is going into each trade union and each union member. The popularization of online public services and improving digital skills for workers are considered an important foundation for building a modern worker force, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development of the locality in the new period.
