On August 8, the Labor Safety and Hygiene Council of Quang Ninh province organized a direct dialogue program with state management agencies, trade unions, business associations and many businesses, employers, and employees in the area on occupational safety and hygiene in 2025 with the theme "Improving the effectiveness of occupational safety and hygiene in Quang Ninh province in the new situation".
At the program, delegates listened to reports evaluating the results achieved after the previous dialogue period; the situation of occupational accidents (OIA) in 2024 and the first 6 months of 2025; the results of coordination in investigating and resolving occupational accidents in Quang Ninh province.
According to the report, in 2024, the number of deaths from work-related accidents increased in both the number of cases and the number of deaths compared to 2023; In the first 6 months of 2025, the number of deaths from work-related accidents and the number of deaths decreased significantly compared to the same period in 2024.
Although the number of fatal work-related injuries and deaths has decreased in recent years and decreased significantly compared to the period before 2020, the risk of work-related injuries is still high, especially in the mining and construction industries...
In addition, all fatal labor accidents that occurred in the province were investigated promptly, accurately, objectively and helped the facility quickly stabilize production, stabilize the ideology of cadres, workers, and laborers; learn from experience for business owners and laborers.
In the first 6 months of 2025, through investigation and conclusion of labor violations, the Provincial Labor Investigation Team requested units to implement 21 recommendations; requested facilities where labor violations occurred to discipline 24 people.
Also at the dialogue, delegates discussed the advantages, difficulties and obstacles in implementing policies and laws on occupational safety and health; shared practical experiences as well as solutions, promoting the application of digital transformation technologies in the practice of occupational safety and health management.
The Provincial Labor Safety Council has received over 150 comments from 97 agencies, units and enterprises; compiled into 42 opinions on 5 groups of issues related to the implementation of regulations related to labor safety.
