On the afternoon of June 13, the Trade Union of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province held a conference to summarize trade union activities in the 2024-2025 school year and summarize the work in the first 6 months of 2025.
From March 2025, after perfecting the organization according to the new model, the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union will receive grassroots trade unions of schools and centers under the Education Trade Union, the Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union (Ha Long University) and the Transport Trade Union (Vietnam - Korea College, Quang Ninh), with a total of 3,954 union members.
In the 2024-2025 school year, the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union focused on innovating the content and methods of direction, grasping the situation and implementing many practical solutions. Trade union work programs are organized effectively, activities are increasingly oriented towards the grassroots, taking better care of and protection for workers.
Increased income, Lunar New Year gifts average 6 million VND/person. Many units arrange accommodation at the workplace for workers working away from home.
The Provincial People's Committee Trade Union also directed grassroots trade unions to actively coordinate with professionals to implement many exciting emulation movements such as: "Innovation in teaching and learning", "Good teaching - good learning", "Each teacher is an example of ethics, self-study and creativity"...
As a result, in the 2024-2025 school year, 187 union groups have completed their tasks excellently; 1,778 union members have been recognized with the title of " Union members completing their tasks excellently".
The Provincial People's Committee Trade Union was established on February 13, 2025 under a new model, consisting of 191 grassroots trade unions with 11,919 union members. In the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union organized professional training for the team of trade union officials; directed units to coordinate in implementing well the grassroots democracy regulations, organizing conferences for civil servants, employees and periodic dialogues.
The grassroots trade unions have actively cared for the lives of workers, visited and presented gifts to thousands of employees with support levels from 500,000 VND to 2 million VND/person. Outstanding activities such as "Union Tet Market - Tet Sum Vay 2025" are organized online, free health check-ups, preferential shopping vouchers for workers in difficult circumstances...
In 6 months, trade unions at all levels organized 82 policy activities with the theme "Learning to make our hearts clearer" attracting nearly 3,000 union members and workers. The 13th Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Union Culture - Sports Festival in 2025 attracted nearly 400 union members to participate. The emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers", "Advanced and exemplary workers" continue to be strongly promoted, promoting creativity and responsibility among the staff and workers.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities were commended and rewarded.
At the conference, the decision of the Provincial Federation of Labor on terminating the activities of the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union and 56 grassroots trade unions in the administrative sector under the arrangement policy of the Central and the province was announced.
