Ho Chi Minh City - The City Labor Federation (LDLD) launched the "Union Member Welfare Point" selling goods with discounts of 10% - 50% for workers.

1,000 union members and workers participated in the launching ceremony of the "Union Member Welfare Point" in Binh Quoi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (headquarters of the former Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Secondary School) organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation on January 11.

Union members and workers participating in the program were given each a shopping voucher worth 150,000 VND by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to buy essential items sold here at prices reduced by 10% - 50% compared to outside, implemented by Bach Hoa Saigon Co.op Co., Ltd.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Kim Thuy - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - said that the construction and launch of the "Trade Union Member Welfare" point is one of the contents of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to concretize the implementation of Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovating the organization and operation of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation".

At the same time, implement Resolution No. 07/NQ dated August 29, 2024 of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on "Focusing on taking care of the welfare of union members and workers in the new situation" and Resolution of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Through the "Union member welfare point", workers have access to essential products and services manufactured by Vietnam, quality is guaranteed with preferential prices reduced from 10% - 50%, helping union members and workers save on living expenses, reduce difficulties, and improve the quality of life.

The "Union member welfare point" is also a place for the Legal Consulting Center of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to propagate laws, helping workers to protect their legitimate rights and interests, contributing to building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations in the city.

It is expected that on January 16, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation will continue to open a second "Union member welfare point" at PouYuen Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tan Tao ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation also organized labor law propaganda for workers attending the opening ceremony and presented 10 gifts, worth 350,000 VND/gift to workers in difficult circumstances.

The launch of the "Union Member Welfare Point" is a project to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress and celebrate the success of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
