Information from the Trade Union of Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company, from January 2026, the Company's Trade Union has proactively developed a plan to implement the "Socialist Grassroots Trade Union" model for the period 2026-2030 according to the guidance of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation. The Trade Union established a Steering Committee, Working Group, built a system of forms according to 4 standards, 8 criteria and organized surveys of 100% of union members and employees to serve as a basis for model implementation.
In the process of implementation, the Trade Union focuses on caring for and protecting the rights of workers with 100% of workers being signed labor contracts, fully participating in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance; organizing the 2026 Employee Conference, periodic dialogues between business leaders and workers; deploying "Tet Sum vay", "Workers' Month" activities, periodic health checks and occupational disease checks for direct production workers.
In addition, many cultural and sports activities are maintained such as half-time exercises, football and pickleball tournaments, and sightseeing and resort programs for officials and employees. The Trade Union also launched patriotic emulation movements associated with the task of reducing water loss, saving electricity and chemicals, and applying digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) in management and production operation.
According to self-assessment results, the Company's Trade Union achieved 95/100 points, exceeding the planned target by 90 points or more. Currently, the Trade Union continues to improve the remaining criteria, striving to achieve 100/100 points and requesting the Hai Phong City Labor Federation to appraise and recognize the model in the near future.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the City Labor Federation emphasized that building the model contributes to implementing the policy of the Hai Phong City Party Committee and the City Labor Federation, creating motivation to innovate the content and methods of trade union activities, improve the quality of care and protection of workers and build harmonious and stable labor relations. "The model will only be successful if there is support from the business leadership, the active participation of each official, union member, and worker" - Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation said.
Also at the program, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation presented gifts to 10 union members and employees of Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company who are children of war invalids and martyrs on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day July 27.
