Young Party member Pham Van Hanh, Secretary of the Youth Union of Ha Tu Coal Company, is one of the typical examples in the work of the Youth Union as well as the production labor of the coal industry.
As a youth leader, he has been leading more than 300 youth union members of the creative labor emulation company, contributing significantly to the completion of professional and union tasks assigned by the company's leaders. A typical example is the initiative "Selecting a plan to adjust the construction of an intermediate pumping pit at level -30 in the southwest area of Bac Bang Danh field to speed up the installation of pumping systems to serve the drainage of the mine".
The initiatives he proposed have helped improve coal mining efficiency, reduce risks during work, and contribute to the company's sustainable development.
Mr. Hanh also actively participated in and implemented a series of volunteer programs and movements "Youth to the Party", "Creative Youth"; maintained more than 40 effective "Youth participation in management" models including 20 youth motorbike groups and 20 production groups. In particular, he has initiated many propaganda programs on labor safety, helping hundreds of young workers raise awareness and practice better in the working environment.

Initiative to rationalize production
When talking about the example of a young worker at Hon Gai Mechanical Joint Stock Company - Vinacomin, many people often immediately mention Mr. Pham Van Trung - a 5/7 level Mechanical Worker. In 2024, Mr. Trung researched and installed the Volleyball Grid Balancing Supply - used for centrifying machines in the coal collection system.
Previously, the company imported 3 types of volley nets corresponding to the processing of different products, each installation required 2 to 4 people, taking a lot of time to validate. Based on this reality, Mr. Trung and his colleagues have researched and manufactured dynamic balancing devices, integrating all 3 types of conical nets into 1.
Previously, Mr. Trung owned 4 other initiatives, including the transit price initiative for the rolling rolling production line in the "75,000 initiatives to overcome difficulties and develop" launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
With initiatives and streamlining production, in 2025, Mr. Trung was appointed by the company's Board of Directors as Deputy Head of the Mechanical Team.
Mr. Trung said: "The viewpoint of the company's leaders is to use the skills and creativity of workers to position the company's brand. Therefore, the initiatives of workers and laborers are always valued by our leadership.
Currently, the company is modernizing the factory to invest in many modern equipment such as: Production lines for boilers, expansion grids, rollers, cutting machines, CNC utilities... so the workers themselves must update their knowledge to master science and technology, propose solutions to rationalize production so that the lines can operate as effectively as possible".
Mr. Hanh and Mr. Trung are two of hundreds of typical examples in the coal industry. Joining the bustling atmosphere of March, today's youth and young people in the coal industry have been, are and will continue to follow in the footsteps of their ancestors, carrying in themselves the passionate fire, the spirit of initiative and creativity to continuously reach out, firmly step under the Party's flag, contributing to building the coal industry to develop more and more sustainably.
